By Allison, June 22, 2010 @ 7:43 pm
I’d love to see more accessories, blankets and toys! As a knitter without children I love knitting for friends with little ones and it’s always easier to knit things where size doesn’t matter (or you don’t know what the sex of the baby will be!). LOVE your site. Very very cute stuff!
By Sarena, June 22, 2010 @ 7:43 pm
I would love to see some brother/sister matching items for babies and toddlers. You know those kids that are around 2-3 years apart. And also more gusseted pants/rompers and items knit in the round. I hate seaming.
Thanks
By Katie, June 22, 2010 @ 7:56 pm
Knits for boys, boys, boys! And the older the better. Thank you for your magazine – this issue is ADORABLE!
By Jenna, June 22, 2010 @ 7:57 pm
More boys things, as always. More toys. More cute pictures (oh wait, that one might not be possible). I love the Renaissance Moms and Back to Basics sections.
By Katy, June 22, 2010 @ 8:04 pm
Just more patterns! I’m currently knitting the XOXO Baby Blanket and loving it! Thanks so much!
By Leah, June 22, 2010 @ 8:05 pm
More stuff for boys! But we love your magazine!!
By Beth, June 22, 2010 @ 8:08 pm
More gifty things like toys would be awesome.
By BeckyL, June 22, 2010 @ 8:11 pm
Keep up the boys clothes. You have so many great things already.
By Nell, June 22, 2010 @ 8:13 pm
Love to see more toddler girl knits!
By Stephanie, June 22, 2010 @ 8:22 pm
Congratulations on the anniversary! I have loved all the issues and you are doing a great job!
Something I would like to see more of in the future are more quick knits. I know kid items are generally pretty quick since they are smaller than adult items, but I like instant gratification projects like toys and accessories. This could open the door for more beginner projects as well.
By Cecelia Dunlap, June 22, 2010 @ 8:25 pm
I recently found out about you, and I subscribed right away. I would love to see boys things, as I think boys things are harder to find, and I like patterns that do not have a lot of finishing to do. I love everything you have done so far, so I’m not sure what you could do to improve! I also love the sewing and other articles- especially the hand sewn felt hearts- I am going to be doing that soon with my nieces!
By Kristina, June 22, 2010 @ 8:28 pm
Congratulations on your first year!!
Sometimes I see this and sometimes I don’t (I did this issue)– bigger kids sizes.
Thank you!
By Kristi, June 22, 2010 @ 8:32 pm
Yes! More boy inspired knits! I love this online magazine! It is beyond great!
By Rachelle Crosbie, June 22, 2010 @ 8:32 pm
More stuff for older boys and maybe some boys socks too.
By Betty S., June 22, 2010 @ 8:43 pm
Keep up the great work! Stretch the sizes up a bit. My oldest granddaughter will soon be 9, and I’d love to keep knitting the ‘cute’ for as long as she’ll allow. They grow up so fast.
By Michelle, June 22, 2010 @ 9:05 pm
Oh, gosh, I just love Petite Purls, and tell everyone I know about it. I love the accessories, the toys, all the non-clothing items catch my eye first! Can’t wait to see what you have in store in the years to come. You have such talent here.
By Tong, June 22, 2010 @ 9:15 pm
Happy 1st birthday!! I’d love to see more matching patterns for the whole family – the kids and the parents! Thanks for the giveaway!
By Cutzi, June 22, 2010 @ 9:39 pm
I see I’m not alone in my opinions…
patterns for boys are always greatly treasured. Especially in the age 3-8ish age range.
By Susan, June 22, 2010 @ 9:42 pm
More designs for boys! And easy knits that still have zing!
By Char Haas, June 22, 2010 @ 9:52 pm
Things for TINY babies: micro- preemies
Formal stuff- like Christening gowns/ outfits/ bonnets
More gender neutral stuff for newborns.
Charitable knitting!- Stork’s Nest, Project Linus, hats for hospitals
Just found you- LOVE this magazine!
By Sidney, June 22, 2010 @ 10:03 pm
funky layettes would be fun! with zingy colors and interesting detailing. thanks for asking!
By Jeanne, June 22, 2010 @ 10:14 pm
I would love to see more knits for baby and toddler boys.
By Tracy Brennan, June 22, 2010 @ 10:17 pm
I would love to see patterns for the home. Dishclothes, table runners, and placemates. I would love to see items that can be knitted up for the holidays such as Fourth of July or even Halloween would be really cool as well. Overall, your site is darling!
By Lynette, June 22, 2010 @ 11:43 pm
More boy patterns would be nice, I agree, especially in boy-friendly, rough and tumble yarns. Thanks for a great first year and here’s to many more!
By BloreKnitter, June 23, 2010 @ 12:28 am
I just echo others when I say I want to see more boys things. I see there is an overload of cuteness with girls stuff, but some patterns for boys would be welcome. If the patterns are seamless, even better!
Since Petite Purls is all about kids, can you include one simple pattern in every issue which kids can knit? Some simple toy or a mobile cozy or a hanky? Or a small pocket which the kids knit which will become part of the actual sweater that the mom knits? They could take help from elders, but something that the kids will have fun to knit and take pride in it.
By sy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:55 am
happy 1 year!
I like interviews and book and pattern reviews. tutorials and knit alongs are nice too.
By maze, June 23, 2010 @ 2:05 am
I’d like to see more basic patterns and more toys (although I haven’t knitted any toy, they1re in my queue.
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 2:22 am
What a great giveaway and congrats on your first birthday! I’d like to see kids projects (I like the new project by Jennifer A-H). Thanks!
By Francine, June 23, 2010 @ 3:07 am
Everything you guys pull together is darling! For 2010 I would love to see more rompers! I would also love some sweet ballerina-inspired clothing (it’s all my nieces ask for), and I would LOVE any type of costuming that you could knit/crochet. Dress up is always fun for the kids in my life.
By Leanne, June 23, 2010 @ 3:20 am
I would love to see more things for little boys (vests, sweaters, etc), more hats and toys.
Thanks for putting more patterns for the older children in this issue!!
Leanne
By Beth, June 23, 2010 @ 3:28 am
Patterns, patterns, & more patterns!! Your patterns are adorable. Just wish there were more of them!
By Sissel Ellevseth, June 23, 2010 @ 3:48 am
Oooo, I love your site… You can never get enough knitted cute toys, and I love shawls and scarves. And kids in “grown up clothes” are the cutest!
By Lise, June 23, 2010 @ 3:49 am
More of the same! This is an amazing publication. Keep up the good work.
By Grace, June 23, 2010 @ 4:01 am
Yes, more boys things would be nice. I have made the Pembroke Vest twice and recommended it to a friend, too! I love this site!
By Vanessa, June 23, 2010 @ 4:16 am
Items done in the round, seaming sucks! More unisex things and I am loving the boys stuff, keep it coming! Love the new issue, fab! Will be casting on soon…
By missjulep, June 23, 2010 @ 4:24 am
I LOVE what you’re doing incorporating a few other crafts into your magazine and would like to see that continued. And I agree with Jenna…your pictures are too CUTE always! My suggestion is for y’all to keep up the good work!
By Mim, June 23, 2010 @ 4:25 am
Knits for boys! There is never enough. LOL
By Dena M, June 23, 2010 @ 4:43 am
You all do such a fantastic job! As my kids get older, it is harder to find “older kids” knits, especially for boys. I would love to see more of those. This issue was great (as are all the others)! I printed off 5 of the patterns that are right there at my kids age. Thank you!
By Flora, June 23, 2010 @ 4:58 am
Congrats on your first year! I would love to see more toy knits!
By Andrea, June 23, 2010 @ 5:03 am
Oooh… more boy knits! (seems to be a theme here!) The patterns are so cute on here, but I’m always searching for a good boys knit!
By Patty G., June 23, 2010 @ 5:09 am
I would like to see simple, classic sweaters for women, for example, a great simple tank or a cardigan. I have returned from knitting after a few years away so I like simple projects at the moment. Thanks for the great job!!!
By ArchMom, June 23, 2010 @ 5:10 am
Would love to see some patterns for older boys. It’s hard finding things to knit for my 8yo son.
By Alyssa, June 23, 2010 @ 5:19 am
I would definitely love to see more toys, since I can knit those even if I’m still waiting to have kids!
By Jen, June 23, 2010 @ 5:20 am
I’d love to see more accessories – and other one skein projects for kids. I’m thinking, toys, bags, fashion (rather than function) hats, little scarves/shawls for kids etc…
By Karen, June 23, 2010 @ 5:29 am
I love this site…more? hmmm…maybe little socks and hats?
By Katie L, June 23, 2010 @ 5:30 am
Just keep the adorable baby knits coming! I love them!
By Jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 5:31 am
I’d love to see more patterns for boys ages 5+. Love the fish sweater in this issue–so cute!!
By Randi, June 23, 2010 @ 5:40 am
I just finished a project from Petite Purls this week and am about to cast on for those adorable birthday hats! I love your site and would love to see more of the same – love the kids stuff. Maybe a few more toys or kid accessories would be great.
By Nataly Alves, June 23, 2010 @ 5:41 am
What a fabulous giveaway! Thanks for the chance! I would love to see a siblings set and maybe a costume or two for Halloween. LOVE this site, have been a fan from the get go.
By Julie, June 23, 2010 @ 5:42 am
Happy Birthday! As with the above comments, maybe more accessories, or small, gifty items. Thanks.
By Carey, June 23, 2010 @ 5:45 am
More! More! More! If you could do 8 issues a year that would be great. But I think It might kill you so I think we will all settle for four. If we have to.
While it is stuff you already have I would like to see more: boys and unisex clothing, accessories, and toys. For something new, quickie projects that only take a few hours that use yarn you might already have in your stash.
By Terri, June 23, 2010 @ 5:47 am
More of the same! Also, I guess older boy patterns, although, I know you probably don’t get submissions for those very much.
By Natalie, June 23, 2010 @ 5:52 am
Neutral items for gifts where the mother doesn’t *want* to know, but generally, more of the same cuteness. Happy birthday!
By Kelly, June 23, 2010 @ 5:52 am
I’d love to see more toy patterns, they’re so cute!
By Jennifer A., June 23, 2010 @ 5:53 am
I first posted this on the wrong entry. Sorry! I got confused by the placement of the responses buttons.
Happy 1st birthday! I hope you have many, many more! I love Petite Purls! You have wonderful features and fantastic patterns. I agree with the other comments completely. PDFs would be wonderful to make it easier to print and use the patterns. Also, having a larger size range on more patterns would be great. My kids, much to my disappointment, are growing way too fast! My girls have all gotten to be 12, 9, and 8 and my sons are 5 and 2. Having the pattern in a larger range would allow me to knit your wonderful patterns for a lot longer.
By JC, June 23, 2010 @ 6:13 am
I’d love to see more toys also, with some interesting construction. I’d also like to see more patterns that have a matching or coordinating Dad and Me or Mommy and Me component, or animals that wear the same outfit as the child.
Anything knit in the round… if I have the energy to knit something I most likely don’t have the energy to seam it.
Some colorwork patterns and/or with tutorials.
By Marci, June 23, 2010 @ 6:20 am
More patterns suitable for pre-teens, and more accessories. But mostly, please keep up the good work — this magazine is great!
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 6:21 am
I would love to see more toys. I have enjoyed the Back to Basics segment.
By Jackie, June 23, 2010 @ 6:22 am
More of the same! You guys do a wonderful job — so just MORE of that! Maybe some posts about current projects you yourselves are doing, that is always wonderful inspiration to get going.
By April, June 23, 2010 @ 6:27 am
I would love to see more accessories and boy things. I love petite purls!
By Cathy, June 23, 2010 @ 6:28 am
Just more eye candy, please! I love looking at all the ideas. Thanks for a great year!
By Melissa, June 23, 2010 @ 6:30 am
I agree. More knits for boys!
By Amber, June 23, 2010 @ 6:42 am
More knits for boys!
By Diana, June 23, 2010 @ 6:56 am
So far your issues have been fantastic! I love the variety of sizes and gender. It would be nice to see some patterns for toys & blankets. Keep up the great work!
By Amy D, June 23, 2010 @ 6:57 am
what great prizes! i’d love to see some good knits for boys too! and some more older girl things! keep up the great work!
By Becky, June 23, 2010 @ 7:03 am
I really enjoy your magazine. I have 3 grand-daughters and another grand-whatever on the way, and you give me a whole lot of something to work on.
I like the items knit in the round, basic, practical stuff for babies and girls. I skip over the silly fou-fou, but that’s just me. (I heard once ‘just because I CAN knit it, doesnt’ mean I SHOULD…) I do like the pretty stuff for girls, though.
Thanks for the chance at a contest, too.
By kate C., June 23, 2010 @ 7:21 am
More knitted toy patterns – I need something that’s not too time consuming or I never finish!
Congrats on your first year!
By aprilshowers, June 23, 2010 @ 7:30 am
I’d love to see some sibling sets. Not identical items, but variations on a theme. I’m knitting a tunic dress for my toddler and a skirt for my 4yo out of the same yarn right now and would love other ideas for items that go together without being a perfect match.
Congrats on your first year! You have filled a void some of us didn’t even know existed and it has been great!
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 7:48 am
Toys, blankets, and colorwork projects! Most of my baby/kid knitting is for gifts as well.
By Brenda, June 23, 2010 @ 7:50 am
Things that “grow” or are easily sizeable as my granddaughter gets bigger.
By Joyce, June 23, 2010 @ 8:07 am
More knits for boys and more blankets/toys
By Melia, June 23, 2010 @ 8:11 am
Love your magazine – and I agree, more boy things would be wonderful. Any chance of Fair Isle mittens for the smaller set?
By haley, June 23, 2010 @ 8:17 am
I’d love to see more blankets and toys.
By Charity, June 23, 2010 @ 8:20 am
Like others, more boy things would be great. Also, love the idea of matching items!
By Stacy, June 23, 2010 @ 8:29 am
I would love to see some boy/girl versions of some things – I LOVE Beach Baby and will probably try to do a pink and cream edition with some fowers. Keep up the good work – I love a good site I can send customers to who are looking for baby ideas – yours is perfect!
By Alison, June 23, 2010 @ 8:30 am
I absolutely love your site! I love knitting items for my niece! However my son is a teenager but still my little one. I would love to have some alternatives to making bigger versions of your patterns. Your site is so refreshing and fun. I love the unique and sweet patterns and opportunities you provide! Thank you!
By Raychill, June 23, 2010 @ 8:45 am
Yes, more boys things. I have 3 nephews and 2 godsons. (Hopefully the mother of the godsons will product a goddaughter in the new year, but I’m not holding my breath). I have a lot of little boys to keep in adorable knits, so any help there would be appreciated.
By Jenny, June 23, 2010 @ 8:51 am
More! Just more of the wonderfulness that you have been doing.
Honestly I think it is beautifully balanced and I can tell all of the hard work you put into each issue. Can you include more knitting time for me?
By Joeli, June 23, 2010 @ 8:51 am
Well, I’d like to see more patterns by me!
Well mainly by that I mean more patterns for toddler boys. Something funky, something a bit fun.
More toys would be fun too. But not stuffed animals.
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 8:52 am
I have to agree – toys and things for boys. I love the kid specific sock patterns too.
By Erica, June 23, 2010 @ 8:55 am
I’d love to see more quick knits for babies!
By Penny Peberdy, June 23, 2010 @ 9:00 am
More of the same please – I think you’ve got it exactly right!
By Ellen M, June 23, 2010 @ 9:09 am
I love toys too. Also would like to see last minute gift ideas or one skein projects.
Thanks for the opportunity to win those goodies.
Happy Anniversary!
By CatieP, June 23, 2010 @ 9:22 am
I’d love to see child/doll matching items and information on sizing – I don’t have kids, if my friend says that her boy is X lbs what does that usually translate to in terms of measurements (though I haven’t been a long time reader so perhaps this has been covered)
By Jan, June 23, 2010 @ 9:24 am
I’m brand new here, and I love your site! What wonderful patterns! And well laid out, too!
I like the boys items I’ve seen here, but more are always appreciated!
Since I’m brand new, I’m not sure of the philosophy entirely, but it would be great to have patterns to cover children of all ages, including older than toddler, and even maybe tweens?
Thanks for the contest!
By Lilly, June 23, 2010 @ 9:33 am
I’d love to see some boy patterns that aren’t “dressy”. I love the cardigans and pull overs, but having something just for playtime is even better!
By Helen, June 23, 2010 @ 9:34 am
Happy birthday!
I’m always looking for patterns for small baby knits- especailly things that I could knit from stash scraps, like modular toys.
By Dagmar, June 23, 2010 @ 9:35 am
Toys! And more of the same. Love the site!
By Natasha, June 23, 2010 @ 9:39 am
I am new to the site. I would love to see warm weather toddler/young child knits. I live in FL and selection can be rather limited.
I look forward to your second year.
By Sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 9:40 am
Just keep doing what you are doing! Though I am partial to toddler girl knits.
By Gladys, June 23, 2010 @ 9:41 am
I’m always knitting for my two boys, so I’m always looking for fun stuff for them — toys, animal scarves, silly things … Thanks for the contest!
By Emma, June 23, 2010 @ 9:41 am
I love what you are doing, congrats on the one-year anniversary. I have two boys, so I guess I’d like to see more things for them. Also, more patterns with interesting construction, to give me more incentive to finish them
By Eveline, June 23, 2010 @ 9:42 am
Quick and easy knits, preferably for boys.
By Cindy, June 23, 2010 @ 9:42 am
I just discovered the website and I love it! I would like to see patterns for older children. No more toddlers at home!
By Melody, June 23, 2010 @ 9:43 am
I would love to see more boy patterns, particularly in simple styles. More toys would be great, too!
By Sophia, June 23, 2010 @ 9:45 am
I love Petite Purls so I don’t have any suggestions for changes but I would love to see more patterns for comfy, easy-to-wear everyday clothes for the very young (birth to age 3), especially patterns that can be for either a boy or girl!
By CelticMommy, June 23, 2010 @ 9:45 am
As a long time crocheter and just getting back to knitting knitter, I would love to see instant gratification type things… quick projects. Also, more boy type items of all kinds. Sweaters, vests, toys, etc.
By Allison, June 23, 2010 @ 9:51 am
I would like to see knits for tween boys who don’t want “baby” stuff, but aren’t all grown up just yet!
By Brigette, June 23, 2010 @ 9:52 am
I’d love to see boy patterns! Love the website.. keep up the wonderful work!
By mikatana, June 23, 2010 @ 9:53 am
just found you through Ravelry. I am super excited tho, as a new grandmother for great children’s knitting patterns!
By Melissa, June 23, 2010 @ 9:54 am
I absolutely love your site! The main addition I would like to see has been posted by several others already – a pdf version of the patterns! I really love all of the patterns you post.
By Doreen, June 23, 2010 @ 9:54 am
Happy Birthday! In year two I’d like to see more toy and boy patterns. Love what you have. Thanks very much.
By Jen, June 23, 2010 @ 9:55 am
Happy Birthday! I LOVE what you have given us already so my greatest hope is you keep doing what you have been doing. It would thrill me to have an option to print text only. I love patterns that appeal to kids imagination, so seeing more of that (again basically keeping up the good work) will certainly keep me coming back for more. Thank you!
By Jenn C., June 23, 2010 @ 9:57 am
I’d love to see a few patterns that go up to 10 or 12 year old size. Love your patterns!
By Anna, June 23, 2010 @ 10:02 am
More boy stuff as well, although I do appreciate the efforts you’ve gone to so far. It’s so hard to find things for boys over 3/4!
By Jennifer Wollesen, June 23, 2010 @ 10:04 am
I would like to see more 1 skein projects.
By Stephanie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:04 am
I would love as many adorable seamless sweaters as you can throw at me! Definitely my favourite. : )
By Jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 10:09 am
More “adult” sweaters miniaturized.
By Andrea, June 23, 2010 @ 10:16 am
Happy birthday!
I would love to see more crochet patterns in addition to more accessory patterns. I would also love more patterns per issue!
By Jessica, June 23, 2010 @ 10:19 am
How exciting! I’d love to see more toys and accessories–projects that are great as gifts where size isn’t an issue.
By jenknitsalot, June 23, 2010 @ 10:22 am
Congratulations on your first birthday! I hope that you continue to grow and prosper in your second year. Please continue to feature great designs by fabulous designers; and continue with the fantastic photography!
By Karen M, June 23, 2010 @ 10:22 am
Ooh… I just discovered Petite Purls and am so excited! I am expecting in October and a quick glance at your most recent issue has given me inspiration for more adorable things to make! Yay! I do agree boys things are harder to find but I found out I am having a girl so of course, I would love to see lots of cute girl stuff in the future. Happy Birthday, Petite Purls!!
By Lizzie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:22 am
I’d like to see ‘Boys can wear pink’ in an adult size for my boyfriend! hehe. But seriously, more of the same, and some accessories, I know you have some splendid hats, but maybe some matching hats gloves & scarf sets, cowls, and little handbags for girls.
By Olivia, June 23, 2010 @ 10:24 am
Sweet! I’d like to see more knits for boys and more small items, like toys and accessories.
By Ashley, June 23, 2010 @ 10:24 am
I love your patterns and your photos are beautiful. I look for patterns that I think my children or the kids I’m knitting for will want to wear. Congrats on your 1st year!
By Melody, June 23, 2010 @ 10:26 am
I would like to see more crochet, and more quick-knit aran weight-type items – I knit and crochet for a local charity, and would love to be able to use more of the cuteness from Petite Purls!
By random Cindy, June 23, 2010 @ 10:26 am
I guess I just want to see more since this is my first time visiting your site! I’ll definitely be browsing the patterns for my kiddos.
By dana, June 23, 2010 @ 10:28 am
Oh, how fun!! Yes, more boys knits would be good.
Cheers for being one
By Dove, June 23, 2010 @ 10:31 am
Fun!
Personally, I’d love to see more toy patterns.
By Keri, June 23, 2010 @ 10:31 am
More toys. Kids grow out of the hand knits so fast and ruin them even faster. So I tend not to knit a sweater for a one year old and instead like to knit them a blankie or a toy, something that they will use longer and on which stains are not a big deal.
By twinimama, June 23, 2010 @ 10:33 am
I really like the mix between baby and older kids.
I have a lot of colorful sockyarn which my kids love, I would love to see some patterns to use it for them!
By Cheryl, June 23, 2010 @ 10:35 am
More tutorials! I’m going to make the “stitching in circles” hanging next with the kids. They have fun with embroidery and this will be exciting for them.
I love your magazine and I’m looking forward to year two!
By Lindsay, June 23, 2010 @ 10:36 am
I’d like to see more accessories and clothing for boys. Congrats on your first year!
By SaneKnitter, June 23, 2010 @ 10:38 am
Definitely more boys things. A baptismal gown would be nice, too, for either gender.
By Kelly, June 23, 2010 @ 10:40 am
My kids are no longer babies, so I’d love to see more things for the 7-12 year old range (boys as well as not-too-girly girls), as well as accessories and quick baby-gift items. But I honestly still knit the things in my queue from the last couple issues!
By Stacy, June 23, 2010 @ 10:41 am
Happy one year! I would love to see more vintage-y and embroidery project. Keep it up!
By Kybosh, June 23, 2010 @ 10:43 am
I’d love to see more boys things and hats. Lots of hats, winter, summer, caps and beanies.
By PBnJ, June 23, 2010 @ 10:44 am
Just keep all those adorable patterns coming! They are all so cute!
By Sally, June 23, 2010 @ 10:50 am
If I had to suggest, I’d like to see classy, older girl things. But I love what you’re doing right now — thank you!
By Susie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:52 am
Hi
I have to join the ‘more boy patterns’ chorous. I love your site though and have enjoyed knitting many things from it.
Susie
By michelle, June 23, 2010 @ 10:52 am
You are doing such a great job. I would just say keep the baby stuff coming! Love it.
By Jean, June 23, 2010 @ 10:58 am
Love all the patterns but more knits for boys would be great!
By Shelvicious, June 23, 2010 @ 11:00 am
More toddler girl knits
By Heather L, June 23, 2010 @ 11:03 am
I love everything you do…! If I had to request, I’d say more little coats/jackets…I have a thing for coats.
By bethanyfos, June 23, 2010 @ 11:05 am
I would love to see more tween girl-sized projects. I knit with my 10 year old daughter so a project that I could make for her with a simple matching accessory she could make herself would be great.
By Jen, June 23, 2010 @ 11:06 am
I’d love to see a greater size range for some of the patterns–I’m always falling in love with an outfit only to find out it’s sized only for babies or up to 24 months and won’t fit either of my under-5 kids (like Posy this issue).
There’s already lots of great baby-only stuff out there, so I’d love to see more sized for the pre-school and elementary school set too, where appropriate.
By KL, June 23, 2010 @ 11:08 am
Thanks to your post on Ravelry, I’ve discovered your site. Enjoyed the summer publication and browsing your patterns, etc. When I come back during your second year, I’ll be looking forward to new toy ideas and silly hats. Best of luck!
By Marianne, June 23, 2010 @ 11:08 am
I love Petite Purls-what a beautiful selection! I knit for my granddaughter who is 2 and hopefully there will be another on the way-I love the idea of a bigger size span to dress sibblings alike with the same pattern. I’ve only seen 2 issues, but would like a few more newborn things.
By Jill E., June 23, 2010 @ 11:08 am
I love to see quick, one-skein projects. Maybe I am an instant satisfaction type of knitter, but it’s very rewarding to complete something! I love all your patterns so far, so I’m sure year 2 will only be better!
By Heather Wagner, June 23, 2010 @ 11:08 am
More boy items, especially 6-10. So hard to find those. I love love the boy patterns that you have come out with but will always say–more boy!
By Margret, June 23, 2010 @ 11:08 am
The first year was terrific and I suggest that you just go on like this, with girl patterns, boy patterns, unisex patterns…
By Bettina, June 23, 2010 @ 11:09 am
yes, more patterns, BUT: I do have two suggestions/ideas for the website that are simple but hopefully very useful:
a) could you adapt your website so that the name of the pattern appears either under/next to the pattern or when hovering over the picture with a mouse? I would find that extremely helpful.
b) navigation/search: I would find clickable tags (or/and categories on the side to click) such as reviews, interviews, etc. very helpful, as the search function currently does not necessarily show the reults you’d expect. Example: fantastic article called Show and Tell containing reviews of products does not show up when searching for reviews- similarly when searching for ’show and tell’ some reviews don’t show.
I hope it’s ok I commented on making the website even better, rather than content xx
By teresa, June 23, 2010 @ 11:12 am
I would love to see patterns in bigger sizes for older children- tweens, young teens. They are often left out of the sizing. Adult sizes fit their size but are too mature looking. They need fun, young choices.
By Alison, June 23, 2010 @ 11:13 am
Boy and toys. Really like all so far.
By Rae Lynne Chase, June 23, 2010 @ 11:13 am
What a fantastic batch of giveaways!
I’d love to see more things for boys…sweaters, toys, etc.
By Felicia K., June 23, 2010 @ 11:13 am
i would love to see more pattern for everything for babies and toddlers. i have 5 grand babies that i love making things for. also some more bags i never can get enough of those. you guys r awesome in the things you do keep it up!!!!! ty
By TraceCub, June 23, 2010 @ 11:14 am
I’ve liked your patterns from afar for a while. I love how Classic Charm blends with Modern Playfulness and can’t wait to see what more you have around the corner!
By anne, June 23, 2010 @ 11:15 am
I’d love to see more patterns for unisex babies and boys.
My friends have a habit of not finding out the sex of the baby and then having boys.
By CJ, June 23, 2010 @ 11:17 am
More crochet, please.
By Karene, June 23, 2010 @ 11:17 am
Just found you yesterday and LOVE your blog and site. The only thing I didn’t find that I was looking for was an email notification, though maybe I just didn’t look hard enough! I like that most of the patterns aren’t fussy. Most of the parents and kids I knit for like simple shapes made with good yarn (I’m obviously training them well!)
By Patricia, June 23, 2010 @ 11:17 am
I really like the patterns you have and I love that you’re showcasing international advertisers like Purlescence. If you’re going for an international audience I like to see more international sizing options as 2T etc doesn’t mean anything to me and it’s quite hard to translate
By Erin L, June 23, 2010 @ 11:18 am
I love that you include patterns for older children. I like knitting for my 8yo and 6yo, but there just aren’t many patterns out there. It’s so easy to find cute toddler patterns, but it’s hard balance to find older sizes that aren’t ridiculously cutesy.
By Annie, June 23, 2010 @ 11:19 am
Happy birthday! Loved all the baby and toddler garment patterns; more of those patterns incorporated interesting techniques or unique design elements.
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 11:20 am
Hi Bettina,
I am not sure what you mean about the name appearing when you hover over the photo with a mouse because it SHOULD! We use alt tags for all the photos for anyone with site impairment. As for search, the site does not have a search, I think you are using the blog search which would not return any results from the site. We definitely plan to add some search functionality to the site in the archives section, but as of right now we don’t have the technology to support it. We are working on it though! Thank you so much for your feedback!
By Debbie, June 23, 2010 @ 11:21 am
I love the kids patterns!!!! I just recently found your site because of a pattern that was posted in ravelry. I have quite a few qued- If only I had the time.
I would love to see more patterns for ages 4 – teen years. It seems there are a lot of patterns out there for cute baby and toddler clothing, but once the kids pass that age, it is hard to find stuff. Thank You for such an awesome site!!!
Debbie
By Sarah B., June 23, 2010 @ 11:21 am
Happy Birthday! I agree, more boy knits! I can find tons of stuff to make for my daughter, but am having trouble finding stuff to make for my impending son.
By sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 11:21 am
As a mom of an almost one year old boy and another baby boy on the way (due in October) I’d love to see lots of little boy patterns in the next year. Toys are always great too!
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 11:22 am
Could you tell me more about sizing? Maybe someone could write an article for us about how to translate the sizes *wink wink*.

I would love to see more accessories/blankets/toys because babies grow so fast that investing so much tie into a garment that they out grow so fast is daunting. Thanks!
By Stephani, June 23, 2010 @ 11:27 am
I love all of the patterns and especially love the range of ages. I would like to see more accessory types stuff in the future, especially fingerless mitts for smaller kids.
By Danielle M, June 23, 2010 @ 11:28 am
Happy 1st Birthday! We’re celebrating a first birthday here next week, too. I’m always wanting cute, but not cutesy, boy patterns. Thanks!
By Amy Stanton, June 23, 2010 @ 11:31 am
I love the Sk8tr socks this time! I have a not so little kiddo, who is my only, so I would love to see patterns that go up to size 10. Also to be even more specific, girl items that aren’t too girly.
By rmsheffler, June 23, 2010 @ 11:38 am
Awesome idea! I’d love to see more toys — they’re one of my favorite things to knit (& not just for babies).
By Lily, June 23, 2010 @ 11:42 am
Toys! And things for boys. Great giveaway!
By Allison, June 23, 2010 @ 11:43 am
I would love to see more toys also. And more toddler girl and boy knits. Thank you so much.
By Kristin Fitzgerald, June 23, 2010 @ 11:44 am
I Love your blog and e-zine. I would like to see more for older boys and girls – sizes bigger than 12.
Thanks for such great patterns!!

By Susan, June 23, 2010 @ 11:45 am
Just found your site, I love it. I would love to see small projects to use up all my yarn bits left over. Probably toys, socks etc. Definately more boys baby & toddler.
By Dawn, June 23, 2010 @ 11:47 am
Happy Anniversary- and I would love to see a few more tween age things for boys. Thanks!
By MzTallulah, June 23, 2010 @ 11:48 am
More of the same
. I am really pleased to see sewing as well, as I am a multicrafter and enjoy alternating projects. Maybe somehting to combine sewing and knitting/crochet would be interesting, for example a fabric dress with a knitted/crocheted bodice or edging.
By Libbi, June 23, 2010 @ 11:53 am
toys and boys knits. there’s always tons of fun knits for little girls, but so few for boys. and one can never have enough handknit toys.
By Christine, June 23, 2010 @ 11:56 am
I’d love to see some nice, fashionable knits that would be good for charity giving….some nice interest but also quick to do! A lot of people are knitting for charity when their little ones are no longer little…
By Andi, June 23, 2010 @ 12:00 pm
Congrats on your lovely site! Love everything about it! I’ve been bitten by the shawl bug and would love to see shawlette patterns completed with one skein of yarn for a quick gift knit!.
By oonagh rabenwald, June 23, 2010 @ 12:04 pm
more of the same!! i’ve been reading back issues, and your site looks wonderful…..keep up the good work!!!
-oonaghfibersmyth on ravelry
By Sandy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:05 pm
Happy anniversary! I’d like to see the continuation of toy patterns and one skein knits.
By Nancy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:05 pm
I love all the cute pictures and awesome patterns.
Unfortunately I only knit for little babies or preemies (or accessories for big people). I don’t know many over 2-3 that would wear hand knits.
I watch the site so I know what’s here should I ever have a little person requesting something.
By Liz, June 23, 2010 @ 12:06 pm
I’m a new comer to Petite Purls, but I love the range (both in age, gender, and styles) that you offer. Keep that up! It’s always nice to have a wide selection given that not everyone’s kids are the same.
By AnnaRie, June 23, 2010 @ 12:07 pm
I would love to see more bulky knits! I love knitting for babies because of the instant gratification factor, and bulky yarn just ups that
(Plus its disheartening to spend more time on the project than the baby will spend wearing it, and bulky yarn cuts down on the crafting time)
By Sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 12:07 pm
Socks of all sizes! I love your blog. I don’t have kids, but it certainly makes me want them!
By Jenni, June 23, 2010 @ 12:11 pm
I found your site earlier today and just came back for a browse, when what do I find? A contest! Since I’m new, I’ve only browsed, but I would like more for the toddler-set.
By jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 12:13 pm
I would love to see you put your name out there. I had never heard of you until I saw the posting on Ravelry about your giveaway. This looks like a darling site and I can’t wait to explore more of it! in reading others’ comments, I think boy knits is a popular response. My older one (11) isn’t a fan of most knitting, but loves crazy hats!
By Betty, June 23, 2010 @ 12:13 pm
Love to knit for little ones and love your patterns!
By LauraP, June 23, 2010 @ 12:15 pm
Congratulations! Keep the Spud & Chloe coming….
By Alison, June 23, 2010 @ 12:17 pm
Happy anniversary! I am mostly looking for sweaters, with good size ranges and interesting details. Have found some gems in your previous issues and would love to see more!
By gillian, June 23, 2010 @ 12:19 pm
thank for giving us a chance to voice our opinion.
i would like to see tutorial video or step by step on some complicated knitting
By Kristy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:20 pm
Love to admire your beautiful things! But I only crochet, so that would be my wish is to add some crochet in the mix.
By sandy snyder, June 23, 2010 @ 12:21 pm
I would love to see more blankets and more boy stuff!!. Happy Birthday!!!!
By Amanda, June 23, 2010 @ 12:26 pm
I would like to see some sophisticated outerwear–sweater coats and chunky warm accessories.
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:27 pm
you have seen our crochet corner in each issue’s feature section right?
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:27 pm
We are trying to get our name out there, but a lot of it comes from word of mouth, we appreciate any help we can get
By InJuneau, June 23, 2010 @ 12:29 pm
I love the basics patterns, so more of those would be awesome.
By Kelli, June 23, 2010 @ 12:31 pm
I just discovered you through Ravelry, and my blue heaven! You certainly have a lot of really adorable things! Oh so many things to add to my “to-knit” list. All I could possibly suggest to have you keep doing is what you’ve been doing! (I don’t even care if I win something, I just wanted to tell you what a great site you have.)
By Debbie, June 23, 2010 @ 12:31 pm
I love your designs, but as with most others, I’d love to see more things for boys. When my grandchildren come along, I’d love to be able to knit cute things for both sexes.
By Alison, June 23, 2010 @ 12:36 pm
I love Petite Purls and would love you guys to keep up the great work in the future. I love that you have a good balance of boy and girl patterns as so often there seem to be way more cute patterns for wee girls. Keep it coming, I always look forward to a new edition coming out.
By Lori Williams, June 23, 2010 @ 12:41 pm
I love your site too, but would love to see more toddler dresses.
By Eloise, June 23, 2010 @ 12:42 pm
I love the style and design of the site, as well as the focus on patterns only for children! I’ll be back when I have to knock out a baby shower item. I’d also love to see more patterns for toys and accessories.
And, as an illustrator, I’d be delighted to see more artwork featured on the site. Maybe a feature on children’s books that feature knitting, or book-themed knitting projects?
By Kathleen, June 23, 2010 @ 12:42 pm
I love the designs! I can’t wait to try some of them out soon, just need to finish this one project I am working on that just wont finish
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:44 pm
I just discovered your site because someone pasted your new summer issue in a thread on Ravelry. Love!!! I am sorry I didn’t know about you sooner. Knitting for babies is fun, but I need more stuff for older kids size 8-12. I love your stuff
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:45 pm
You should submit some idea’s to us, we LOVE article idea’s!!

I would love to see bonnets in year two! I LOVE bonnets, but have a hard time finding pattern I love…and in sizes up to 2 or 3
By Rose, June 23, 2010 @ 12:48 pm
I would love to see more toys and photos of those beautiful babies playing with them. Beautiful baby photos are love!
By joanie, June 23, 2010 @ 12:56 pm
Congrats on your anniversary!!
I would love more knits in the 4-8 year old range….top down would be super.
By Wendy, June 23, 2010 @ 1:01 pm
I love your site, how about more patterns and things for boys, I have 5 year old twin boys!!
Wendy
By Michelle, June 23, 2010 @ 1:01 pm
I would love to see more 4T and up boys items. They are soooo hard to come by.
What I have seen on Petite Purls has been great and in this issue there are 2 boy items that I am just crazy to get started on. Purls is definitely filling a niche that was missing! Thanks!
By britoutofwater, June 23, 2010 @ 1:06 pm
More of what you’re doing already! Your patterns have just the right about of fussiness while maintaining clean lines.
More boy stuff for all ages would be good as not only is that hard to find patterns for, but even ready made cute boy things are difficult to find. Seamless items are also a plus as I have far too many items lying around that I’m done knitting but haven’t yet seamed and the added bulk on smaller clothing can really spoil the look.
By Karla, June 23, 2010 @ 1:06 pm
I’d love to see more cable-y goodness. Cozy cable sweaters look so adorable on wee ones, and many of the styles are suitable for both boys and girls.
By Sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 1:07 pm
Congrats on your first year! I’d love to see more items that can grow with babies or kids.
By Linda, June 23, 2010 @ 1:12 pm
More big girl designs; sizes 8,10 and 12’s. This range is nearly neglected by most pattern designers. I’d love easy summer tops, dresses for my granddaughter!
By mary, June 23, 2010 @ 1:13 pm
Congrats on your one-year anniversary!!! I’d like to see more hats for both boys and girls.
By Lisa, June 23, 2010 @ 1:14 pm
I would love to see more big boys patterns, maybe up to size 10? I love your site!
By Aline, June 23, 2010 @ 1:14 pm
Knits for boys up to ten or so. Toys!!! And if possible, a feature on standard sizing for clothes and socks.
By Kimberly, June 23, 2010 @ 1:22 pm
Knits for boys, more blankets and whimsical items. Happy birthday, Petite Purls!
By Jessi, June 23, 2010 @ 1:24 pm
I’d love to see a cute seamless bunting/bag/sleep sack pattern. They are so handy! I have made one before but I had to do a lot of modifications to an existing sweater pattern to do it. I’m not skilled enough to make one that has cute embellishments on it without a pattern.
Also, patterns for boy things that aren’t just gender neutral but actually look boyish.
I love your site
By gbeans, June 23, 2010 @ 1:27 pm
I just discovered the site last week, but I’m liking it so far. I’d like to be able to download/print patterns as PDFs, and since I love to knit hats, I’m never opposed to seeing awesome hat patterns!
By marina, June 23, 2010 @ 1:29 pm
more patterns and toys!
happy anniversary – i hope there are many more to come!
By Rose, June 23, 2010 @ 1:32 pm

By Dora, June 23, 2010 @ 1:46 pm
I’d love to see more lightweight stuff for older kids.
By Katherine, June 23, 2010 @ 1:53 pm
Loving the boys patterns, would be great to have some patterns for just one or two skeins as well.
By Allegra, June 23, 2010 @ 1:55 pm
I’m sorry, but we are a children’s magazine. No mens patterns will ever be available on this site.
By Kara Beth, June 23, 2010 @ 1:59 pm
i would love to see more boys patterns, as well as knits for older children! i have about 1 pattern saved for my 6 year old son for every 25 i found for my toddler daughter
D
By Becky, June 23, 2010 @ 2:01 pm
I’d love to see more sweater patterns for young girls…not babies, but from ages 3-7 or so. All the patterns are adorable…keep up the good work!!
By Margot, June 23, 2010 @ 2:23 pm
Just checked out your patterns – what nice, original ideas you have here. I don’t have any suggestions right now, I’m new to your site. Will keep looking around!

By Melynda- French Press Knits, June 23, 2010 @ 2:29 pm
Oh my word- I *love* the PP Sigg bottle, SO cute! I love knitting little stuffed animals and toys, would love to see some in upcoming issues. They make wonderful gifts!
By Elizabeth, June 23, 2010 @ 2:30 pm
All my friends seem to be having baby boys this year, so although I love the darling dresses, tights, tutus etc. I’d also appreciate new things for these boys as they grow! What a great magazine and congratulations on your 1st anniversary! =)
By ckay hinchliffe, June 23, 2010 @ 2:31 pm
I would like to see more “giftable” patterns. Things which, when they’ve become someone else’s, I don’t mind seeing gone.
By Kaci, June 23, 2010 @ 2:32 pm
Happy Anniversary! I love the patterns you’ve published, but would love to see more for boys, and even more so if knit all in one piece without seaming! (yes, I hate finishing!)
I would also like to see more/different pictures. Sometimes I *think* I like something but I don’t think the pictures truly show it off. (As an example, the model & pictures in this issue’s “Posy and Spring” are adorable, but I don’t feel like I can really see the shorts.)
Keep up the great work!
By Sally, June 23, 2010 @ 2:35 pm
sweaters for boys
By Mairin, June 23, 2010 @ 2:48 pm
This was my favourite issue yet – great stuff I want to make for my daughter and sons. I guess I would like to see some more patterns for older boys, in the 5-10 age range. But keep up the good work! Big fan here!
By Donna B., June 23, 2010 @ 2:54 pm
Happy birthday! More patterns for elementary and middle-school girls, please — I really appreciate that you always have something for the older kids!
By Emily, June 23, 2010 @ 2:55 pm
Congrats on the anniversary. I think it would be nice to see more patterns that could go for either boy or girl.
By Janet, June 23, 2010 @ 3:01 pm
We would like to see more fun designs for boys especially using quick to knit aran/bulky yarns; with hoods would be good too as our sons delight in going out in the bare minimum even in the coldest weather. Also up to date knits for pre-teen and teenage girls.
By Angelina, June 23, 2010 @ 3:03 pm
Congrats! I would like things for boys.
By jane, June 23, 2010 @ 3:05 pm
I love blankets, especially lacy blankets. Maybe some cute baby hats and socks.
By Lynn, June 23, 2010 @ 3:15 pm
I would like to see some heirloom style baby items ranging from bonnets and booties to little cardigans to lacy shawls/blankets. Some sibling coordinates would be nice including coordinating patterns for boys and girls. A lace shawl that is size adjustable for little girls through adult would also be very popular.
By Tess, June 23, 2010 @ 3:23 pm
Congratulations! Toys and blankets are always fun, and I’d love to see more patterns!
By Lori S, June 23, 2010 @ 3:40 pm
Just discovered your site and I must say, Congratulations!! It’s great discovering different sites. Can’t wait to peruse your site.
By Elise, June 23, 2010 @ 3:42 pm
I love your patterns and would have to say just keep doing the same as you have the first year since it was such a huge success!!
By Tara, June 23, 2010 @ 3:44 pm
Very cute site! I always like hats for kids, from fancier lacy hats to the ones shaped like animals. More accessories like toys or bags may be nice too since they are not outgrown.
By Katrin, June 23, 2010 @ 3:46 pm
I’d love to see some patterns for older kids (6 yrs and up) and maybe some more toy patterns. Also some funky accessories for girls and boys would be a hit
Congratulations on your 1st year!

I love your patterns and would love more boy patterns and maybe even a pattern for father and son. Congratulations on your year.
By Jenny, June 23, 2010 @ 3:56 pm
Congratulations on your first year! You have a fun blog, and I’m glad to have discovered it. It would be neat to have some more information about kid-friendly/safe buttons. Perhaps a few more patterns for bigger kids would be nice, too. Best wishes for a great 2nd year!
By Carolyn, June 23, 2010 @ 4:00 pm
A really nice pattern for a sundress sized for 0-3 months, and stuff for 4-8 year old boys! (with truck or train themes would be awesome!) Happy birthday, and I hope you’re around for a LONG time!
By jane, June 23, 2010 @ 4:09 pm
Happy Birthday! Keep doing your great patterns, I would love to see more baby accessories-blankets and toys!
By Niki, June 23, 2010 @ 4:12 pm
Happy birthday! Adorable patterns!
By Lucy- 6toknit4, June 23, 2010 @ 4:21 pm
Like the site, patterns span good boy/girl ratio. Knits for boys 4-6 that are cool enough to be their favorite!
By Cyndi J, June 23, 2010 @ 4:26 pm
I would love to see toys & things that aren’t gender specific to give as gifts!
By Lynn, June 23, 2010 @ 4:27 pm

I love patterns for 4-8 year old girls! Dresses, hats and some cute pants.
By Liz, June 23, 2010 @ 4:37 pm
I’d like to see some crochet stuff here. I don’t know how to knit, but your patterns look great.
By Melissa, June 23, 2010 @ 4:38 pm

Happy birthday! What a wonderful milestone. Your website is awesome! I would love to see more coordinating knits for boy/girl siblings and more accessories. Keep up the great work!!!
By Sara R., June 23, 2010 @ 4:47 pm
I’d love to see more toys, especially off-beat or unusual ones.
By Lindsey, June 23, 2010 @ 4:47 pm
Thanks, and congratulations on a wonderful first year! I’ve enjoyed knitting several of your patterns. In your second year I’d love to see more patterns for older kids, especially boys. It seems like those are the most lacking in the knitting world in general.
By Wool Free and Lovin' Knit, June 23, 2010 @ 4:50 pm
I’d love to see patterns written for some of the great wool-free natural yarns like Hemp, linen, organic cotton and the like. thanks!
By Joan, June 23, 2010 @ 4:54 pm
As I’m expecting my first grandchild next January, I’d like to see more adorable baby items (I love your patterns)
By Allegra, June 23, 2010 @ 4:56 pm
Have you seen our Crochet Corner? We have 4 crochet patterns so far!
By Heather Bradshaw, June 23, 2010 @ 4:59 pm
I have loved every issue so far. My granddaughter is 4 so I love patterns that cover that general age- anything from 4-8 is good. Keep up the good work- Happy Birthday.
By Terri M, June 23, 2010 @ 5:19 pm
Patterns for gift ideas, whether it be blankets, toys or accessories.
By kathy lombardo, June 23, 2010 @ 5:24 pm
Hi. I’d love to see a few more patterns for boys size 10 to 14. I have great difficulty finding those for my grandson. I love knitting for him but most patterns are for younger children or much, much older boys (he is 10).
By Dorothy, June 23, 2010 @ 5:27 pm
It’s great already. I just recently discovered it and love the fresh, easy, and current designs for babies and older kids. It would be great to see more unisex/boy items, and more items knit in the round and not in need of the dreaded seaming.
By Susan, June 23, 2010 @ 5:29 pm
I love all of your patterns and although my children are not little any more, I have loved knitting and looking at your patterns for some of my coworkers who are having babies. How about some doll patterns? Keep up the great work!
By Carolknits, June 23, 2010 @ 5:33 pm
I would love to see more finished projects from the bloggers. Also, I would love to see larger patterns for kids in the “tweens”. They are so hard to find!
By Heather, June 23, 2010 @ 5:39 pm
I just found you from Ravelry. I love it! I knit for a lot of babies and littles in our extended family. I am enjoying the patterns and articles. Thank you!
By Becky, June 23, 2010 @ 5:42 pm
I’d love to see more for boys. I’ve got many little boys in my life and the patterns out there are kinda bland.
By RRene, June 23, 2010 @ 5:43 pm
OMG! i had not seen your site until I read your post on a forum on Ravelry. So I decided to research and WOW….Everything is sooo cute! I have 2 new nieces in our family and will certainly use this site often in the future. Thank you all for your creativity!
By Nancy, June 23, 2010 @ 5:47 pm
Too much cute stuff!!! Would love to see baby “sets”. Anything knit in the round is always a plus!
By Lynn Finn, June 23, 2010 @ 6:06 pm
I would like to see more accessaries/ quick knits- hats, mittens and patterns for 8-10 year old range.
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 6:11 pm
what a great site you offer! I’d love to see more non-wearables – toys, fantasy things like wings, crowns.. i knit a lot for my 6 year old niece… and she’s tall, so slightly large sizes, for the older kids who aren’t quite teens yet would be wonderful!
By Laurie, June 23, 2010 @ 6:11 pm
Happy Birthday and congrats on your first year!
By lianne, June 23, 2010 @ 6:20 pm
Love to see your patterns in downloadable format!
Your patterns are beautiful, and with 5 grandkids I’m sure I will be making more than one!
By spider, June 23, 2010 @ 6:42 pm
more patterns, please! there can never be too many options….
By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 6:49 pm

By Noreen, June 23, 2010 @ 6:50 pm
Congrats! I’d like to see a few more toy patterns (but no need for a redux of the teether thingie).
By Cheryl, June 23, 2010 @ 6:52 pm
I love your site how it is – but would also love to see some more boy patterns and one skein patterns! Keep up the great work.
By Julie Ortloff, June 23, 2010 @ 6:53 pm
I’d love to see more patterns that are unisex and have a very wide range of sizes (I have three kids, aged 5, 2, and 8 mos.). It would be nice to purchase one pattern to service all three kids.
By Paige, June 23, 2010 @ 7:02 pm
I’d love to see more great boy knits. It has been so nice to have cute kids options for boys! Accessories and toys would be great too!
By Knit-M-Up, June 23, 2010 @ 7:05 pm
Very cute projects. I love to see patterns for males, babies and adults. I happen to live in a bascially estrogen-free zone (except for mine that is). Keep up the great work and have a wonderful second year. Hope it won’t turn out to be the ‘Terrible Twos for you.
By Chris Grim, June 23, 2010 @ 7:06 pm
I’m new to knitting, too. Love what you offer. More hat, scarf, and mitten sets.
By Denise Ho, June 23, 2010 @ 7:20 pm
It’s so wonderful for you to post this birthday give away link on Ravelry. & it’s really kind to be so generous to give away such wonderful gifts. I’m sure there’ll be many more such goodies to give away on your 2nd birthday??? Hooray….. & Happy Birthday!!
By tulip, June 23, 2010 @ 7:23 pm
I would love to see more features with a historical slant, like a history of sweaters made for kids in the 20s or gloves for children from the 1800s. Then a pattern to go along with each updating it and showing the techniques of old.
That would be fun!! I really like the magazine!
By Julie T, June 23, 2010 @ 7:26 pm
Would love to see more newborn patterns and patterns for tweens.
By Amber, June 23, 2010 @ 7:34 pm
More toddler girl patterns. Maybe more top down garments as well.
By Kim Mitchell, June 23, 2010 @ 7:39 pm
Congratulations on your anniversary. I just discovered this site and I think I’m going to like it. I would like to see more for novice knitters, more how-to.
By andria, June 23, 2010 @ 7:40 pm
Would love to see BOYS patterns… and baby shower gifts… I always want to give a little something handmade..even if they are not close enough friends to make something big…. Thanks : )
By Sandy, June 23, 2010 @ 7:40 pm
Just found you and I love your website. Congrats on one year. I’m always looking for patterns and yours are adorable. I echo the comment for older kids – not quite teens – very difficult to get appropriate patterns that they like.
By Melanie, June 23, 2010 @ 7:41 pm
I love your site, clothes and toys are cute and I loved the diaper bag. Would love to see a few handy mom accessories added here and there. I have 12 grandchildren and I’m so glad I’ve found you!
By Jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 7:45 pm
I agree – more for boys and older kids.
By Emily B, June 23, 2010 @ 7:46 pm
Congratulations! You’re doing a great job. I’d like to see more gender neutral designs.
By ctbab, June 23, 2010 @ 7:48 pm
Thanks for all the great patterns! Like others, I love your patterns and website. Thanks so much
By Ginna, June 23, 2010 @ 7:49 pm
More boy stuff please, knitted in the round for less seaming, love your patterns!
By Leslie, June 23, 2010 @ 8:23 pm
I’d like to see a few cute skirts starting at size 2. Your patterns are soooo adorable.
By Sylvie, June 23, 2010 @ 8:28 pm
Happy anniversary! I would like to see boy patterns, mittains, shawls. Thank you very much!
By Sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 8:37 pm
I can’t think of anything you are missing! You have a good variety, we just need more “older” kids since those of us who are finding you have toddlers to preschoolers now – we will want to grow with you as you grow older!
By Jennifer-Lynn Houle, June 23, 2010 @ 8:40 pm
I’d love the chance to win!!!
I love the site!!!
By Kristen, June 23, 2010 @ 9:05 pm
Boy patterns!
By Jenn, June 23, 2010 @ 9:10 pm
I LOVE Petite Purls. I would love to see more toy patterns…they are quick and ALWAYS a hit!!
By Sarah, June 23, 2010 @ 9:13 pm
Love the Back to Basics series! Please put more patterns up soon!
By Mia, June 23, 2010 @ 9:24 pm
Hi there, congratulations on your first anniversary/birthday!
What I’d love to see is a series of basics- like a basic sweater pattern, cardigan, sweater vest, etc.
I don’t know if it’s just my lack of searching skills or if it’s just one of those things that are easy but I don’t get, but I’ve had the hardest time finding a plain, basic kids sweater vest pattern- just a good, basic pattern that can be used for school uniforms without any bells and whistles
By Autumn, June 23, 2010 @ 9:31 pm
i would love to see more boy kids and baby patterns. i love little kid clothes and having a little guy, and lots of friends who have boys i am always on the lookout for new stuff to make
love your site and congrats on turning 1
By Jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 9:34 pm
I would love to see more boy’s patterns. You do a better job than many at providing them, but I would still like more.
By Miriam, June 23, 2010 @ 9:39 pm
Toys that grow with a child. I would love a mobile that had detacable pieces that a child could use as they got older.
By Becky, June 23, 2010 @ 9:41 pm
Congrats, wow a year already! Besides boy patterns, of course, (is there an echo?), I like the idea of patterns that can be adapted (after being knit) to get another year out of or more use, like a dress to a tunic, or maybe pants with extra folded seat ease that can be capris/shorts?
By kendra, June 23, 2010 @ 9:48 pm
gender neutral items would be very awesome. or just more boys stuff, i suppose. i also like working with bulkier yarns. ; ) thanks!
By Josie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:07 pm
More patterns for boys.. cos, boys need pretty clothes too!
By Kauri, June 23, 2010 @ 10:18 pm
Chiming in with a request for more boy knits!
By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 10:40 pm
More boys’ stuff please! I love what you have come up with this past year.
By Angela, June 23, 2010 @ 10:48 pm
very cute stuff!
By Kelly, June 23, 2010 @ 11:13 pm
Things that don’t have to be sized correctly are great, like toys, and to a certain extent, blankets. Not only is that perfect for gifts, but also for kids who grow faster than you knit!
By sophie, June 23, 2010 @ 11:18 pm
I saw your post on ravelry and decided to come check it out. I’m so glad I did. I love the little boy’s fish sweater – rare to find great knits for little boys! I love vintage-inspired patterns (like the little girls bathing suit), and will look forward to seeing more! Bookmark set!
By Angela, June 23, 2010 @ 11:42 pm
Keep up the great patterns! I’d love to continue to see more knits for baby boys!
By Allegra, June 24, 2010 @ 12:00 am
Have you seen our Back to Basics collection? We will be adding a bunch of patterns to it this coming year! Sounds like it’s something right up your alley!
By Jenn, June 24, 2010 @ 12:31 am
Saw you on the Rav. I love childrens patterns that can be worn for multiple years and still look beautiful. A dress one year a t-shirt the next. Or knit (gag) flat with seams that can be added too or let out.
By kirsty mcguigan, June 24, 2010 @ 1:05 am
More accessories and boys knits would be fab. I love you site it is amazing – keep up the fantastic work.
By Healthkitten, June 24, 2010 @ 1:52 am
hi! i love the styles y’all have. i would like to knit gender-neutral things that can be passed btwn older-younger siblings or just to keep ‘em guessing! Baci!
By Amanda Keeys, June 24, 2010 @ 1:55 am
Petite Purls is already so gorgeous, it’s hard to think of what else you could do. I LOVE seeing interviews with designers, so more of those would be fantastic, and I know it’s “petite” purls, but maybe a few patterns here and there for the kids in that “between” stage would be wonderful
By Rachel, June 24, 2010 @ 2:12 am
More clothes for toddlers, and girly accessories
By Donna, June 24, 2010 @ 2:34 am
I would love to see more quick, easy, but stylish knits for women. I’m a mother and I knit mostly for my kids and nieces and nephews and I’d love to knit more for myself.
By Nancy Nolan, June 24, 2010 @ 3:32 am
I love knitting for my grandchildren. I also would llike to see more older boys patterns. You are doing a great job and congratulations on your first anniversary. Keep up the good work.
By Eva Byskov Andersen, June 24, 2010 @ 3:36 am
I would love to see more stuff for cool boys, since I normally have no trouble finding things for girls, but boys are more tricky. Love your stuff though
By Jenny May, June 24, 2010 @ 3:42 am
I love your site!! I would love to see more older boy things (mine is 9), but still really enjoy knitting everything else for gifts! Thanks for such great items
By Erin, June 24, 2010 @ 3:44 am
I love the idea of your Basics patterns, so I’d love to see more of those. More knitted toys and accessories like mittens/socks would also be fun. I’ve just discovered your site and love it!
By Dorothy, June 24, 2010 @ 3:45 am
Congratulations on your first year! I’ve really enjoyed each issue. Can I just ask for more of the same? The patterns are great!
By Mary, June 24, 2010 @ 4:29 am
Congratulations! I made the Kick it Up vest by Daniela Nii and would love to see more vest patterns.
By Barbara Kerr, June 24, 2010 @ 5:01 am
How about some updated baby sets, especially in colours for boys?!!
By Tori, June 24, 2010 @ 5:02 am
I’d love to see more patterns for the “in-between” child. The 3-8 year old. Boy and girl! My four year old girl is getting too big for the toddler patterns, and there is just not much there for a tiny girl that’s too little for big kid knits, and too big for baby knits! My son at age six there is only sweater patterns, and I live in a sunny climate, I want some.. tank tops with dinosaurs on them, some shorts with pockets, a funky hat with a brim… Love your site!
By Rebekka Drewes, June 24, 2010 @ 5:03 am
Since I have two little nephews, I´d love to see some boy knits. And interesting toys!
By Becca, June 24, 2010 @ 5:10 am
I’d love to see even more cute boy patterns, as I love what you’ve had so far! And maybe some more wintery accessories?
By Renee Reed, June 24, 2010 @ 5:36 am
Just found you! Congrats on 1 year. I think I am agreeing with the others… More boy items.
By mka, June 24, 2010 @ 5:48 am
Saw your post on Ravelry. Several friends had/having babies, so great to find this site
We have lots of nephews so patterns for boys are what I’m looking for.
By Sue, June 24, 2010 @ 5:51 am
Love the patterns as I’m now knitting for 4 grandsons 27 months, 23 months, 7 months old and a newbie due in 3 weeks time, love to use new patterns as well as the ones I used in the 1070s for their dads !!!
By Kathleen Miezio, June 24, 2010 @ 5:57 am
I would like to see more unisex patterns that are interesting. When there is a brother and sister, I would like to see my knitting used for a few years. I would also like to see more patterns that can “grow” easily, by knitting longer sleeves or body borders.
Thanks
By Mary Beth, June 24, 2010 @ 6:02 am
I first read about you from the posts on Ravelry about TNNA. What a great site you have. Keep up the cute little girl patterns!
Thanks!
By BrendaW, June 24, 2010 @ 6:07 am
I’ll admit — I saw your note on Rav forums & popped over to see what this site was. I have a pre-teen daughter & love that you have some age appropriate things for her, but I’d LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to see more! It’s hard to find patterns/designs that aren’t too adult or too baby-ish and she’s the one who most appreciates my knitting “gifts.”
By BedAndEcky, June 24, 2010 @ 6:20 am
I love your patterns! They aren’t “the goofy aunt who knits you weird, old looking stuff” patterns
Thanks!!
By FabXtaC, June 24, 2010 @ 6:27 am
I work at a craft store with a lot of women, so I like to knit things when one gets pregnant. The problem is, I work 30+ hours a week and am a full time student. I’d like to see more things that are quick and cheap.
I also like things where size/gauge isn’t really important
the.ian.clark@gmail.com
By Melanie, June 24, 2010 @ 6:27 am
More accessories, toys, blankets and knits for boys! The little girl stuff is very cute but I have a nephew to knit for
By Ali, June 24, 2010 @ 6:29 am
More accessories and tops for older children.
By Bonnie, June 24, 2010 @ 6:31 am
I’d love to see more patterns appropriate for gifts when you don’t know the child’s size. Love the site, you have many beautiful patterns and pics!
By jacintae, June 24, 2010 @ 6:34 am
I just found your site yesterday through a Ravelry link. The patterns are cute, cute, cute and doable. I have two grandchildren (boys) and I’d love to be able to knit more for them. Love the site!
By Zaneta, June 24, 2010 @ 6:43 am
Happy anniversary!
I love making toys for people so i would like to see more of those!
By Katie, June 24, 2010 @ 6:43 am
This is going to sound silly, but I’d love it if Petite Purls came out more often! I just love all of the great patterns and I’m always so excited when the next issue comes out! I love all of the boy patterns in the current issue. I have 2 boys and I find that boys are usually grossly neglected in knitting books. Thanks for remembering them! Keep up the great work!
By Marie, June 24, 2010 @ 6:48 am
After a thirty year absence of children to knit for, my younger son and his wife are expecting! I’m looking forward to baby knitting again and am delighted to find this site. As the mother of two sons, I must echo the theme of interesting patterns for boys. It’s been a generation, but I remember knitting a great deal of navy blue stockinette for my sons!
By Pat, June 24, 2010 @ 6:49 am
Thanks so much for this announcement.
The Petite Purls website has such cute patterns for little ones.
By Lisa C in NC, June 24, 2010 @ 6:58 am
I’d love to see more patterns for the over 5’s.
By Sarah R., June 24, 2010 @ 7:14 am
I always love to see more patterns for cute little dresses for girls!
By Kateiline, June 24, 2010 @ 7:15 am
I love the fact that you have patterns for kids that don’t look as dorky as a lot of older patterns look. You always used to be able to tell who’s mom made them their clothes, and not in a good way. I think the things you post are the things all the kids would be fighting over getting to wear!
By Ingrid, June 24, 2010 @ 7:16 am
The issues get better and better! I’d love to see some more truly unisex designs, especially for the 3-12 month crowd.
By Sue, June 24, 2010 @ 7:16 am
More interviews with mom’s who have their own businesses and and articles on starting your own business! The interviews are always so inspiring
By Julia, June 24, 2010 @ 7:21 am
Congratulations! What a fabulous way of celebrating such a momentous occasion!!
By Michel, June 24, 2010 @ 7:22 am
I’d love to see some shower-idea, newborn patterns. I have several moms-to-be friends and would love ideas on relatively-quick projects I can give as shower gifts. Thanks!
By Julie1912, June 24, 2010 @ 7:25 am
Happy 1 ! I’d like more boy stuffs, blankets & everything for babies ! thanks for all you’re doing
By Jackie, June 24, 2010 @ 7:28 am
I would love to see a few non-clothing items…
Like little sacks or back packs, nursery items (pacifier clips, diaper bag, soakers), toddler/child slippers, toys…
I really love all of the patterns that you have published! Congratulations on your Anniversary and Great Job!
By Jessica, June 24, 2010 @ 7:31 am
Hi! I saw your post on Ravelry and I can’t tell you how excited I am to see this blog!! I have 3 little kids ages 5, 2, and 1 and your patterns are great. It’s so cool to find one place to make adorable things for my kids. I would love to see more sock patterns and some pinafores. I can’t wait to find a little quiet time to grab some coffee and drool over your site. What a great find!
By Terri Moran, June 24, 2010 @ 7:36 am
I love your website just the way it is. I’ve made multiples of several of the patterns, which really testifies to the great job your designers have done. I look forward to the unexpected in your second year as much as I’ve enjoyed it this year. Thank you so much.
By Cyndi, June 24, 2010 @ 7:41 am
I have to agree with the other comments asking for more things for boys. My oldest grandson is 6 and I have a hard time finding thing to knit that he will actually love to wear. Happy Birthday!
By Jill, June 24, 2010 @ 7:44 am
Ooh, more of the same – but maybe some crochet in the round?
By Linsay, June 24, 2010 @ 7:45 am
I would love to see more knits for tweens. I love the vintage swimsuit in this issue but probably won’t be knitting it because it isn’t very practical in the rainy pacific northwest
Congrats on another beautiful issue!!
By Stacey, June 24, 2010 @ 7:52 am
I’d love to see more one skein projects
By sharryn, June 24, 2010 @ 7:57 am
Love the patterns – would like to see a few more for the school age kids.. Keep up the great work
By Nicole, June 24, 2010 @ 8:03 am
I have two boys, and it’s always harder to find cute patterns for them than girls. So just keep having cute patterns for boys!
By Rebecca W, June 24, 2010 @ 8:05 am
Happy Birthday and Congratulations!! I absolutely love your site – thank you so much for putting it together!
By Amy M., June 24, 2010 @ 8:05 am
I love the patterns and the cute pictures. I have a 3 month old girl, so more patterns for young girls would be great!
By Jo Anne, June 24, 2010 @ 8:06 am
unisex patterns
Easy, quick knits in sweaters
Recommendations for easy care, comfortable yarn to use for kids items.
By Gale Fields, June 24, 2010 @ 8:09 am
Please, the patterns are all lovely, but hard to download or print. I would like to see you offer the patterns as PDF files. So easy for us all to download to our computers and save for knitting up later.
By Tara, June 24, 2010 @ 8:11 am
I would love to see more knits for pre-teens and toys!
By Brynn, June 24, 2010 @ 8:17 am
Wonderful items! I NEED to make that adorable hoodie for my grand-niece!
By Linda, June 24, 2010 @ 8:19 am
Love your imaginative use of colour in the childrens garments,…nice to get away from ‘ordinary’ and be a little innovative !
Like others before me I would like to see a few more boys patterns, so many patterns for boys are simply boring, with your flair our boys could, … and will be, much more on trend !
By Raili, June 24, 2010 @ 8:23 am
Congrats on turning one! I enjoy each one of your issues
What I’d like to see in year two would be more awesome patterns (just like there are right now) and maybe some quick-knit baby shower gifts. Thanks for the fantastic giveaway!
Blessings in year two!
Raili
By Karlene, June 24, 2010 @ 8:26 am
Happy first anniversary! I love your patterns but sometimes would like to see more items for older kids. I’m not talented enough to figure out how to adjust the smaller sizes for larger kids.
By Mrs. Rachel, June 24, 2010 @ 8:50 am
I’m going to jump on the more patterns for boys bandwagon! Thanks so much for such a fun e-zine!
By Allegra, June 24, 2010 @ 8:53 am
Please refer to this blog post as to why we cannot offer pdf files.
By Maria Acuna, June 24, 2010 @ 9:01 am
Wow! I accidentally came to this blog, and it is really nice and full of patterns.
I hope to be a grandma soon, as my daughter and son in law were deployed to Iraq and just returned a week ago. They met in 2005 while deployed they got married in 2007 and spent the past year in Iraq, they are safe now. Thank God. Now maybe they can settle down and start a much anticipated family. I can now have a specific goal for my knitting.
By Sarah, June 24, 2010 @ 9:01 am
Personally, I think everything is perfect that you do. What I’d like to see is more of me finding a guy, getting married and having babehs so I can actually KNIT all of the gorgeous and adorable patterns you have on your site!
By Gretchen, June 24, 2010 @ 9:04 am
WOW It looks like you are awesome!!! I think you should keep up the good work with the awesome patterns!
By SusanG, June 24, 2010 @ 9:11 am
Ok- I here all the boy calls out there! BUt I only have girls! I would like to see some more “school age” knits for the 4-6 yr old crowd. and always toys for baby gifts.
Love your e-magazine and have been thrilled with all of the patterns i’ve tried so far!
Thank you
By Jenny, June 24, 2010 @ 9:26 am
Oh wow! I am only just discovering your wonderful site and I am so excited to know about it now! Happy Birthday!
By Sara-Jane, June 24, 2010 @ 9:29 am
New designs – cutting edge things that we in the business may not always get to see.
By Kristy, June 24, 2010 @ 9:45 am
Love the site! I’m always happy when I see toddler stuff and toys!
By Carrie, June 24, 2010 @ 9:50 am
So many cute patterns. Bigger kid sizes, patterns for boys, cute accessories, booties and socks, layette items that make great gifts. Of course, you are doing lots of these things already so I say just more of what already makes you so great.
By TeriG, June 24, 2010 @ 9:52 am
Happy Anniversary!!! More crochet patterns please.
By Jean L, June 24, 2010 @ 10:11 am
Nice website. I would like to see more sock patterns.
By Kate A., June 24, 2010 @ 10:17 am
Petite Purls is almost the same age as my little girl!
I have an endless appetite for simple little empire-waist or a-line dresses. They can be worn for so long! I also really appreciate basic templates like Carey Huffman’s Baby Shell or EZ’s Tomten Jacket that can be worn by more than one child over the years, of either sex. I like seamless construction because I have to knit in little chunks of time, constantly picking it up and putting it down, and I can’t have yarn needles laying about!
By Melanie, June 24, 2010 @ 10:49 am
Happy anniversary! I’ve enjoyed every edition so far! You’ve already put out a nice selection of boy patterns and I hope you keep them coming. It’s so much harder to find cute and wearable patterns for boys than it is for girls. I also love the suggestion for more unisex patterns, especially for wee babies.
By helenlam, June 24, 2010 @ 11:03 am
I’m loving the patterns. I’d love to see patterns for knit wool longies! And of course I like baby sweaters and hats too.
By Amy K, June 24, 2010 @ 11:19 am
I have three boys, so I am with all of those people asking for boys patterns. I would also love to see the boys stuff in sizes up to 10-16. Or maybe some stuff specifically designed for boy tweens. Zip up cardigans and vests would be great.
I love the zine and can’t wait for another year of great issues!
By Jeanne M. Sprague, June 24, 2010 @ 11:28 am
Happy 1st Anniversary. Love your patterns & yarn.
By Nonstopknitter, June 24, 2010 @ 11:54 am
All of your patterns are so unbelievably sweet, and I love the fact that they’re free — I feel like a jerk asking for something when you’re giving of yourselves and your time.
That said, I would love to see some puppets! Not finger puppets, but real hand puppets.
By elizabethann7936, June 24, 2010 @ 12:03 pm
Happy Birthday!
Would love to see more things for boys! Beautiful, frilly, girly things are fun to make, but I have 2 sons!
By Allegra, June 24, 2010 @ 12:46 pm
Have you seen our recent article about puppets?
By Allegra, June 24, 2010 @ 12:51 pm
Sarah, we can’t help in the man-finding category but we appreciate you liking the site so much!
By Lulu, June 24, 2010 @ 12:53 pm
Happy anniversary! I love the patterns on this website. I’d also love to see more toys. I have a little girl who is almost 5 months and I can’t wait to make some of these projects for her.
By Kelly, June 24, 2010 @ 12:55 pm
I don’t think I can recommend anything other than keep doing what you’re doing its all fab!
By JoyceAnna, June 24, 2010 @ 12:56 pm
Always looking for interesting clothing for boys…also Mommy and Son matchy matchy things would be cool too.
By marie, June 24, 2010 @ 12:58 pm
When posting pics of projects, sometimes you cannot get a feel for what the finished proj looks like. (ie: xoxo blanket). Showing more of the project, maybe more than one pic..
I love your toys, howabout kiddie napsacks for school or a sleepover..slippers, socks…and more toys..great for gift giving, and blankets…maybe a sleeping bag like blanket.. felted..
By natalie, June 24, 2010 @ 1:18 pm
I’d love to see patterns with a wide range of sizes – my infant and 6 year-old need matching clothes!
By Cara, June 24, 2010 @ 1:29 pm
I love your site! I would like to see things for gifts, boy items. I’d LOVE to see travel bag projects – We have a bag that holds a diaper and wipes, a couple of toys and change of clothing for each car, the stroller, going to the beach, etc and it would be cool for them to be knitted and diff colours!
By Maxine, June 24, 2010 @ 1:31 pm
more of the same please!! I love everything – just wish I had the time to make it all xx
By Tutorgal, June 24, 2010 @ 1:34 pm
Congratulations on your anniversary! I have a new baby boy and want to thank you for all the boy clothes. I’d love to see more toys, which are so fun to make for my kids and to give as gifts. Thank you!
By Codi, June 24, 2010 @ 2:26 pm
I love Petite Purls because there are always a few adorable boy knits. It is so easy to find cute girly things to knit, but with a son I want some items that are cute, but still classic. Keep up the good job, and keep publishing boy patterns!
By Migeravt71, June 24, 2010 @ 3:02 pm
I would love to see sleeper sets or footed pajama’s for newborns. And I love making baby items out of fingering weight yarns! Thank you.
By laurie, June 24, 2010 @ 4:08 pm
love everything! My sister made the ladybug coat and it’s precious. Always looking for good patterns for little boys, hats of any type (my daughters’ friends are all having babies and these make great shower gifts), and anything cute/girly.
By Crystal, June 24, 2010 @ 4:35 pm
Happy 1st Anniversary Petite Purls! Thanks so much for the super cute pattern you and the desigers offer! Love it!
By Crystal, June 24, 2010 @ 5:17 pm
oops! In addition to my post above(sorry) I’d want to see more accesories for the kiddos, things like.. purses, backpacks, headbands, and maybe even bow ties!:)
By Libby, June 24, 2010 @ 6:28 pm
Baby and toddler sweaters top down and seamless. But honestly, just more of what you’ve been doing!
By Jurate23, June 24, 2010 @ 6:29 pm
My son has been the beneficiary of two handknit vests based on your patterns – Pembroke and Kick it Up! The patterns were easy to follow and the finished products looked great on him. Please keep the wonderful boy ideas coming. I especially like the idea of playing with texture more so than doing colorwork. Congratulations on your first year and looking forward to sharing more with you in the future.
By Laura C, June 24, 2010 @ 6:42 pm
I hope I am the lucky winner! Just getting to know your website! I’m sure it will become one of my favs.
By Betsy, June 24, 2010 @ 6:48 pm
Boy patterns are always a plus as well as a grouping of patterns for gift giving for newborns.
By Emily M, June 24, 2010 @ 6:53 pm
It’s hard to say what could be better than you keeping up the good work! I am always in search of unisex newborn-sized patterns for baby gifts, though!
By Rebecca, June 24, 2010 @ 7:28 pm
I am a new reader of petitepurls, I just heard of it recently (within the last few months) on Ravelry. I really like the mix of patterns and I guess I’d just ask you to continue publishing knits for boys. Happy 1st Anniversary! Woohoo!
By Barb, June 24, 2010 @ 7:33 pm
HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!! I absolutely LOVE Petite Purls. I love seeing the wonderful patterns you choose. I am always looking for patterns for 5-12 yr old girls. LOVE YOUR PATTERNS. Again, Congratulations on your 1st Anniversary.
By Kitten With A Whiplash, June 24, 2010 @ 9:39 pm
Maybe some decor items, for nursery and older kids. Things like toy hammocks, changing table organizer, shoe bags for little shoes. And lots more of what you’re doing now!
By Yasmin, June 24, 2010 @ 9:48 pm
Absolutely love your patterns! Happy anniversary! I suggest some costume-type patterns that are quick knits in keeping with whatever the season.
By Tara DeGrey, June 24, 2010 @ 9:49 pm
Wow, this is an amazing giveaway. I would love to win a prize and I LOVE your patterns. I did not realize you were so new.
By Becky M, June 24, 2010 @ 11:23 pm
I’d like to see more toys! I love toys. And maybe some home decor pieces for kids rooms.
By Jennifer, June 25, 2010 @ 1:02 am
I would love to see toy patterns and things for boys, as a lot of others have mentioned. I am bookmarking your blog as soon as I am done commenting! I just discovered you through your posting on Ravelry. Congrats on the 1year anniversary!
By Sarah Bruch, June 25, 2010 @ 3:32 am
I’d love to see more matching items, things that would look good on a little one and a slightly bigger one
Also more boy knits is great.
By Janella, June 25, 2010 @ 4:55 am
Happy Birthday! I would love to see more boy stuff.
By Addie, June 25, 2010 @ 5:17 am
More knits for little boys would be great! Or coordinating boy/girl knits.
By Johanna, June 25, 2010 @ 5:37 am
Boy knits! I have 2 nephews, and no nieces, and want to indulge the wee boys!
By Rachel, June 25, 2010 @ 6:14 am
I agree on the boy stuff! Not baby, but boy! thanks so much!
By Jennifer, June 25, 2010 @ 7:40 am
Keep up the good work in year 2! I love Petite Purls, and the wonderful patterns are the best! I also have been having trouble finding a little sister (infant), big sister (toddler) combo of cute sundresses to make… so that would be wonderful!
By Kimberly Mears, June 25, 2010 @ 7:55 am
I would love to see more knits for older boys. I would also like to see more accessories.
By Amy, June 25, 2010 @ 8:48 am
More fun patterns! Yay!
By BlueKaeru, June 25, 2010 @ 9:33 am
I am always interested in items for boys or gender neutral clothing. And toys are always fun!
By Silka, June 25, 2010 @ 9:33 am
Congrats to a wonderful year 1. I am excited to see a site that is delicated to kidswear. Being a designer myself, I appreciated the patterns that Pettit Purls are chosen and published. Like a lot of people has suggested, more pattern in an issue, more boys and for pre-teen… a separetly issue for accessaries for the holiday may be nice… I wish Pettit Purls many success in the futures…
By Cathy, June 25, 2010 @ 10:06 am
Happy birthday! I love your site and patterns. Maybe some more accessories like hats/mittens and toys. Of course there can never be too many boy patterns as well.
By Nancy J, June 25, 2010 @ 11:41 am
More and more of the same type of creations.
By Nicholas, June 25, 2010 @ 12:27 pm
I would love to see more patterns that don’t require a size. I knit for a lot of kiddos who I only get to see once or twice a year so sweaters and such are kind of like shooting in the dark. Blankets and toys and such would be so much more helpful.
By Kayla, June 25, 2010 @ 12:34 pm
I am so glad you are one! This is the best site for kid patterns and I look forward to visiting it for many years to come!
By Krystina, June 25, 2010 @ 12:49 pm
Congrats! I love your magazine and visit it often. I’ve discovered designers that I’ve actually bought patterns from, and gread yarn ideas for kids. So, first off, thanks! For next year… I don’t know if this is too specific, but I’ve been dying to make my daughter a little shrug (toddler sized) like the ones they’re selling at Gap kids right now, but I can’t find a good pattern. Thanks again for your great site!
By Liz, June 25, 2010 @ 8:52 pm
I only stumbled across your site recently, but like what I see so far! I’m suddenly busy knitting lots of baby and toddler gifts for friends, and was disappointed by the slim pickings for that demographic in some of my other favorite web magazines, so very pleased to find you! More patterns is always good – unisex and boy patterns are the ones I’ve had the toughest time finding contemporary classic styles that I like.
Oops – posted this to the wrong blog post on the first try, so I’ll add that I’d like to see a slightly updated blog layout that’s a bit easier to understand – at first glance, I thought the comment links were paired with the post above, not the post below..
By laurie, June 25, 2010 @ 10:54 pm
Congrats on your one year. Absolutly more boy things, are always good, but really I enjoy this site just the way it is. I just get lost in all thatt is going on here
By Louana, June 26, 2010 @ 1:13 am
I love to crochet so a few more crochet patterns. But really I’ve loved every edition so more of the same! Congratulations!
By Carmel, June 26, 2010 @ 1:59 am
I am so excited about the 1st birthday of Petite Purls – I had been following you guys since the very beginning, and I have loved knitting your sweet little garments. As every issue comes out, I find myself madly queuing virtually everything from every issue. It’s hard to find a way to improve what you do – I guess I’d like to see some more yarn reviews and maybe more patterns for gloves and mitts and hats for wee ones.
By Erin, June 26, 2010 @ 4:19 am
Knits for boys!!! You guys already do a great job of featuring knits for boys, but it is so hard to find cute boy knits, so MORE, MORE, MORE!!!
Thanks for providing such a wonderful resource!
By thereluctantcraftster, June 26, 2010 @ 5:14 am
I love the site. It’s great to finally have a knit mag dedicated to children’s knits. I would love to see more “grown up” designs for the preschool boy set, and modern shapes for toddler girls. There are a lot of 4 year old boys out there who are beginning to have opinions about wearing handknits, so whatever you put on them has to be comfortable and “cool”.
By LauraBeth, June 26, 2010 @ 7:58 am
More accessories and little, super-quick projects. It’s a lot easier to both knit and give away little things!
By Annalisa, June 26, 2010 @ 11:04 am
I, too, would love to see more for boys. It would also be great to have more that involve “alternative”/recycled materials like the Treehugger Tutu by Stephanie Japel in the Spring 2010 issue.
By Jen, June 26, 2010 @ 12:13 pm
What a great site! Congrats on turning 1! I’d love to see even more baby hats – they are the perfect gift and are so easy to complete quickly. Thanks!
By Eliana Bahri, June 26, 2010 @ 1:43 pm
I think toys for boys would be awesome! Ex: Trucks, cars, GI Joe, etc..)
Thanks for this incredible giveaway!

I would love to see more big boy and girl knits, especially boy! Love Petite Purls! Happy Birthday!
By Sarah, June 26, 2010 @ 2:53 pm
I love your site. I am a relatively new knitter, so I love the basics patterns. More of these please! Other than that, I love it all – even the patterns I’m not ready for. I’ll get there someday! Thanks for the great work!
By Saije, June 26, 2010 @ 3:32 pm
Personally, I would love to see more pet related patterns. My cats are a large portion of my life, and I absolutely adore making them toys, beds, ect.
By August, June 26, 2010 @ 4:09 pm
This is an absolutely fabulous webzine!
One suggestion: How about more projects for older boys and girls?
By Dakota Gal, June 26, 2010 @ 4:34 pm
You guys do such a great job, I can’t think of anything else I’d like you to add! I love the stuff in the Basics section and the idea of learning to be able to modify basic kids’ knits to suit my family. Thanks for all your hard work!
By Carrie, June 26, 2010 @ 6:26 pm
Happy anniversary, y’all! Just keep up the amazing work. You’re doing a great job!
By Lynne, June 26, 2010 @ 8:21 pm
I am always on the hunt for cute boy patterns! I have a 10-year-old and a 2-year-old and would love to make them some matching knits at some point. I also would love to see some patterns for wool covers for cloth diapering.
By Knittingdancer on Ravelry, June 26, 2010 @ 8:41 pm
Happy Birthday and congratulations on your first year. I would like to see the patterns in pdf’s.
By Andrea, June 26, 2010 @ 9:10 pm
I love recommendations for wonderful yarns, for other blogs and websites, and for more connections with other knitters . . . also, patterns from worsted weight or even bulky yarns are great, those can be hard to find for babies and kids!
By Evelyn, June 26, 2010 @ 10:23 pm
Happy Birthday! Would love to see yarn related projects for young kids and knitted toys.
By Rebecca, June 27, 2010 @ 2:49 am
Accessories and sets, ie hat and gloves or sweater and leggings. Such cute stuff- and Happy birthday!

I will echo many others and say: boys, please. You already do a great job, but as a new mom of a boy I am stockpiling ideas. I would also love to see more androgynous patterns for those not too girly girls in my life. That said you are doing an awesome job. Congratulations on your first year!
By Ann Hiltner, June 27, 2010 @ 9:43 am
I would love to see anything for toddler girls and older (10-12) year old boys. What a lovely job you are doing!
By Eowyn, June 27, 2010 @ 10:03 am
I just found you via Susan B. Anderson and am so glad!!!! I’ve been going knitting crazy since my son was born (18 mo now)and love the aesthetics of your mag. Would love to see more of everything-keep it coming!
By Nirinjan, June 27, 2010 @ 11:45 am
Patterns for teenagers, especially boys. Thanks!
By BeckyS, June 27, 2010 @ 12:11 pm
Happy Birthday! I love Petite Purls!
I have to agree that it is hard to find adorable boy knits.. especially in the sizes between toddler and teen, and my 9yo boy is constantly upset about that. It would also be neat if the Crochet Corner and Sew Petite sections could see an expansion. Many of us enjoy being multi-craftual.
By Bonnie, June 27, 2010 @ 12:25 pm
I love the photos and I hope to see many more cute babies. Actually what I would really like is for my children to have some grandkids for me but until that happens I will continue to look for cute patterns for toddlers as my friends’ grandkids are growing up. (lucky friends!)
By Firem00n, June 27, 2010 @ 12:41 pm
Happy One Year anniversary! One thing I would love to see more of on this website is a few more patterns for older children. I’ve noticed there are fewer options in knitting patterns for kids in tween sizes than there are for younger children.
By Firefly, June 27, 2010 @ 12:42 pm
Ditto to more patterns for big kids 8 and up.
Thanks!
G
By jcscot, June 27, 2010 @ 12:53 pm
I’d love to see some lovely newborn knits. I’ve knitted a few of your patterns and love the variety you have.
By Jasmine Goodchild, June 27, 2010 @ 1:52 pm
Being a wife of a military hubs and a Mom to a beautiful soon to be 2.. I would Love to see, An Heirloom Knitted or Crochet Baby Blanket!! American flag blanket or a sweater that my husband could be proud of.

I just found your website and am loving all of your patterns there are some beautiful tops that i cant wait to make my daughter.
Maybe make toddler kits like an outfit set with hair clips.
Thanks for your time.
By Eva Fernandez, June 27, 2010 @ 2:29 pm
Well, this is a difficult one for me, because I like Petite Pruls very much right now, and not only the patterns. I read every section and find all of them appropiate and interesting, so I think I expect the same Petite Purls but in a bigger way, more crochet and patchwork and even sewn projects, more books and bags and gadgets reviewed, more interviews, indeed more Petite Purls!
By Emma, June 27, 2010 @ 3:26 pm
Definitely more boy items. I’d also like to see a gallery if reader creations fro
your patterns. Congrats on turning 1!
By Kristin, June 27, 2010 @ 3:52 pm
Boys, boys, and more boys! I have 3 myself, ages 13, 7, and 4… so the suggestion to feature older boys’ ideas is awesome! (Although I have 4 nieces and LOVE to create for them!!!!)
By Jessica, June 27, 2010 @ 4:02 pm
I like the toys you’ve already published, so more of those, please! Also, unisex/not too girly patterns… And I love that vintage-inspired bathing suit, so maybe more vintagey stuff?
By Julia, June 27, 2010 @ 4:07 pm
Wow- Year 2! Well, I would like to see one of my designs featured… if I ever get time to submit!
Actually, though, I’d love to see patterns for leggings/stretchy pants, and cute cardi’s for big girls. Boys patterns that aren’t too cutesy are always nice, too! Thank you so much for all the hard work- I love your site!
By Dana, June 27, 2010 @ 5:45 pm
Hi, Petite Purls is really great – very well-done. I have really enjoyed the patterns I have seen, but would love to see some frillier dresses and stuff for girls, as well as gift items for baby showers and birthdays. Thanks!
By Bridget, June 27, 2010 @ 6:54 pm
Accessories please! And patterns for the early school age girl/boy crowd. Love the magazine!
By CJ, June 28, 2010 @ 2:56 am
I’d love to see more gender neutral items with good size ranges. Having a girl and a boy, I love making matching outfits for them! Congrats on your first year down and may the second be ten times more fun.
By JennySue, June 28, 2010 @ 5:05 am
Has it been 2 years already! I must knit faster to catch up – and be ready for what comes next!
By thalassa, June 28, 2010 @ 5:11 am
I would like to see the same cute patterns as last year! They all looks great. I love your inventive toy patterns (this lobster was soooooooooooo cute). So, same great work with a few toys in each issue would be great!
Thanks.

thanks!
By Susan Remeika, June 28, 2010 @ 5:43 pm

How great! I would love to see quick knit projects – both for adults and children – maybe something that could be whipped up for a gift…?
By Patty Pierce, June 28, 2010 @ 6:38 pm
I really like everything about your website. My favorite type of patterns are childrens hats, toys and accessories. I am always searching for different boy hats. You have several but I always want more! The flower necklace and braclet are so cute. Bought the yarn today! Thanks for sharing your creative talents.
By Cindy H, June 28, 2010 @ 7:04 pm
Love the variety of boys and girls patterns. Would like to see more toys…great gifts !
By Sandy Iskandar, June 28, 2010 @ 7:49 pm
I would Love to see some elegant shawls with beading incorporated.
Incorporate lots of colors – make pillows that kids can travel with. like a pillow that holds a fold up blanket, like a puppy pillow with a pocket for the blanket to travel with.
Either way i am looking forward to what you all come up !
Thanks
By Joanne Snyder, June 28, 2010 @ 7:54 pm
Congratulations on your one year! I love all of your patterns. So quick last minute knits would be great for the kids.
By Sara in WI, June 28, 2010 @ 8:08 pm
Wow! That year went fast! Congratulations! You are doing just fine in my book….but I always have a hard time finding patterns for girls and boys ages 7-12.
By Jody, June 28, 2010 @ 8:48 pm
I realized I commented on the previous post–glad I caught that! I would love to see some toddler boy cardigans. Congratulations on year #1!
By Marissa, June 28, 2010 @ 9:04 pm
I am a fairly new reader of your site/blog, but as I have a two year-old daughter, I love love love your patterns. In a year or two, my girl will be 3, then 4, so I hope there will be plenty of patterns that are either for that age group or that have multiple sizes. By then I imagine I’ll mainly be knitting sweaters, socks, accessories, and maybe more toys for her, so anything like that would be great! Thanks for the fabulous site!
By Meriam in Michigan, June 28, 2010 @ 9:13 pm
Happy Birthday! Love to see more of the same…you already have such a variety of patterns. Who has the time to make all of them
By Judy Workman, June 28, 2010 @ 10:04 pm
I would love matching patterns, booties and hats and blankets and such.
By Samantha, June 28, 2010 @ 11:45 pm
Congratulations on a wonderful first year! I am a huge fan of yours and I am looking forward to the years to come! Keep the baby/ toddler patterns coming. I do not have children of my own (yet ;0) but I am always looking for new gift ideas! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!

I like kid’s knits that are “sophisticated/fashionable,” i.e., in colours and styles that an adult might consider rather than primary colours/intarsia-type stuff. Happy Birthday and thanks for all of the free patterns!
By Sharon, June 29, 2010 @ 4:27 am
I’d love to see more little boys patterns. This is a fantastic site!
By Kate, June 29, 2010 @ 5:22 am
Congratulations on year 1. Would love to see more toddler patterns.
By Faith, June 29, 2010 @ 6:11 am
I can’t believe it’s only been a year – congratulations! I enjoy the variety of patterns you’ve offered – every installment finds me with at least a couple of the patterns in my queue. Keep it up!
By Amy, June 29, 2010 @ 6:29 am
I would love to see patterns for onesies, overalls, or jumpers that can be knit top down!
Happy Birthday and best of luck on year 2!
By Jennifer, June 29, 2010 @ 6:35 am
Congrats on your first year. I so enjoy what you feature. I’m always looking for fun childrens patterns in sizes for 5-6 year olds. Looking forward to year two.

By Steph, June 29, 2010 @ 7:31 am
More of the classic and sophisticated but unfussy kids’ knits (echoing the call for more boys’ items and things for older kids), like the basics line.
Happy birthday to you!
By Jo, June 29, 2010 @ 7:55 am
happy birthday – keep up the good work – toddler boy items could be a good addition – thanks!

By Terrie, June 29, 2010 @ 9:41 am
Congratulations on your first year! I think more accessories/toys would be fun
By brenda C, June 29, 2010 @ 10:26 am
Love your site!
I’d like more patterns for the 6 to 12 age range. After all the babies and toddlers often have siblings!
By sprite, June 29, 2010 @ 11:54 am
More boy patterns, please. I want some girls to knit for, but my friends insist on popping out boy after boy!
By Jan E, June 29, 2010 @ 12:07 pm
You’re doing a great job.
I too would like sizing up into the larger kids’ sizes as my grandchildren are growing (way too fast, of course) and much as I adore baby stuff, have lost most of my “audience” for those things.
By pamela bishop, June 29, 2010 @ 2:24 pm
Would love to see more patterns for 6-10 yr olds
By Flo Flory, June 29, 2010 @ 3:40 pm
Love your kids stuff and toys. Will be looking for toddler items by the Spring.
By Andrea W., June 29, 2010 @ 5:54 pm
Hi Folks….tonite was the 1st time I’ve seen your site. Very nice + an awesome contest!!! I can’t think of anything to suggest that others haven’t…just keep up what you’re doing…it’s working!!! Well, maybe I should add that I was pleased to see ladies sz in the sk8er socks….so perhaps some patts could have an adult sz too when appropriate? Andrea
By kate C., June 29, 2010 @ 6:14 pm
Really neat! Congrats on one year!!
I’d like to see more quick and easy toys or small projects… I’m not one for big stuff.
By Barb, June 29, 2010 @ 6:56 pm
LOVE everything this past year. More of the same, PLEASE. My 5 grandchildren, 4 girls and 1 boy, are the perfect age right now. However, sizes 6-12 would be great.
By Kara, June 29, 2010 @ 7:50 pm
I think the patterns here are a breath of fresh air- so different from other patterns. Thank you! I have recently been looking for a toddler boy hoodie with a zipper that I could try to line. I would love to see one of those that my little man could use as a jacket. Thanks again and keep up the great work!

Non-clothing items are good as well as petterns for older children especially for boys. They go through an in between stage where they are no longer interested in child’s fashion but are too small for adult’s clothes.
Thanks for a lovely website.
By Jodanna, June 29, 2010 @ 9:30 pm
Happy Anniversary!! More knits for boys please.
By Denise Skelton, June 30, 2010 @ 4:06 am
I’d love to see more patterns!
By ikkinlala, June 30, 2010 @ 8:14 am
I’d love to see more gift items (toys, blankets, or other items where the size doesn’t need to be exact).
By chris, June 30, 2010 @ 8:44 am
I love your publication and patterns. That Sigg bottle is so cute. I would like to see some accessory patterns for older children and fun seasonal/holiday knits.
By gen, June 30, 2010 @ 8:55 am
I’d like to see more household stuff and quick knits.
By Kim, June 30, 2010 @ 10:13 am
Oh boy, let’s see. I would have to say patterns for older children. The 4-12 age group is sometimes very hard to find patterns for. Also, love the idea of toys that don’t require a degree in engineering to have successful assembly. Finally, I would love to see baby blankets that are reversible or at least nice on both sides. Thanks so much! You are doing a fantastic job. Congrats on the 1 year anniversary!
By Missy, June 30, 2010 @ 12:45 pm
Keep the boy knits coming! And in bigger-ish sizes too! Ages 3-5 please. Thanks for the great online mag!!
By Melissa Ann, June 30, 2010 @ 12:46 pm
Agreeing with everyone above – I would love to see more patterns for items for boys, more patterns for the 4-8 year olds, sibling sets, and costume-type items for playing dress-up. It’s been a great first year!
By Diane, June 30, 2010 @ 12:51 pm
I love your blog! I would love to see more accessories for gifting. I live in Fl! Sweaters and blankets don’t get much use! Congrats and happy anniversary!
By Andrea, June 30, 2010 @ 2:05 pm
Happy Birthday! I have been inspired by every issue
I would also love to see more boy patterns and patterns with a larger size range. Thx!
By maria-jose, June 30, 2010 @ 2:14 pm
Happy Aniversary!
For me, Petite Purls is wonderful as it is, but if I could ask for something else, maybe a few more accesories and blankets.
By Louise, June 30, 2010 @ 2:16 pm
I agree that patterns for older kids would be great – and, of course, boys! thanks for all that you do – your site is so inspiring!
By Diana, June 30, 2010 @ 2:32 pm
I just discovered you……blush, blush…where have I been??? But, based on what I have seen, and LOVED……just more of the same!! Maybe some more accessories…I love the toys I seen, maybe more of them that you can do on bigger needles, I can’t quite handle smaller needles with bigger yarn…..hurts my joints!
Congrats on a beautiful website!!
By Mara, June 30, 2010 @ 3:36 pm
Your site and my little boy are just about the same age! Loving all of your patterns, thanks so much!
By Cayce, June 30, 2010 @ 3:56 pm
I’ve really enjoyed things this past year! That said, I’d also love to see more things for older kids and boys. You all rock!
By Sara T, June 30, 2010 @ 7:23 pm
I would love more toys/ accessories. Items that I can make that they will get use out of. I always hate making a sweater and they only wear it once before it’s too small. Not sure if you cover this but I would love to see items for older children/Tweens. My son is 10 and it’s hard finding things to make him.
By natts, June 30, 2010 @ 10:21 pm
More boys knits and patterns. There are tons of lovethings for girls out there! Thanks you guys!
By Rebecca, July 1, 2010 @ 9:57 am
I don’t know if comments still count today…
But, I love the site and I particularly love seamless/in-the-round patterns.
By Juanita, July 1, 2010 @ 10:13 am
I would love to see more toddler boy stuff. More things along the lines of Fairy Tale Knits or Tot Toppers, too, would be fantastic. I have an obsession with making cute clothes for my kiddos!
By Rebekah Pope, July 1, 2010 @ 12:09 pm
Love the site!! I would like to see more baby blankets and stuff for boys.
By Rhian, July 1, 2010 @ 12:28 pm
Quick knits for little boys please! And toddler sock patterns
By Christina, July 1, 2010 @ 12:34 pm
WOW! I was just introduced to Petite Purls through a blog today – but I am impressed, and will be back – a lot! Kids clothes, kids clothes, kids clothes are what I am all about right now – boys and girls, although it is harder to find things for my boys. And, my husband insists it must be boyish!
By Hilary, July 1, 2010 @ 12:41 pm
Thanks for the great giveaway! I love patterns for toys and would love to see some cool stuff for boys over age 5 or so.
By Debby, July 1, 2010 @ 1:31 pm
You have a fantastic magazine. I’d like more things for tweens since a few of my grandkids are heading there!
By Morgan, July 1, 2010 @ 3:23 pm
I like to see anything with no seaming, pattern wise. And older boys clothes always.
By kelli, July 1, 2010 @ 3:36 pm
As my kids are getting older, I’d like to see more stuff for bigger children!
By Lisa H., July 1, 2010 @ 5:18 pm
Petite Purls is such a great site! The patterns are wonderful. I would love to see patterns for older girls. Keep up the good work.
By SharonF, July 1, 2010 @ 10:33 pm
Patterns with elements or finishing touches that a child could help with.
By Elisabeth, July 2, 2010 @ 12:38 pm

By Valerie, July 3, 2010 @ 7:34 pm
It is great to have something just for kids! I would love to have more patterns for older boys. Thanks for the great magazine!
By Prunila, July 5, 2010 @ 9:31 am
I would love to see more cute patterns for older girls (10-16) and also funny accessories for children (toys, jewelry in wool, etc.) . I LOVE the magazine and I have fun a lot of fun watching children clothes in strong colors.
By Julie @ Knitting and Sundries, July 5, 2010 @ 2:33 pm
I know that the comments are ostensibly closed, but I just wanted to say that I love that your patterns are for older children; it’s so easy to find newborn and baby patterns, but so hard to find some for older kids, especially boys! Thanks for a wonderful website!

Is it too late? I would love to see a flattering pattern or two for mom! I love love your patterns for girls!
By Betsy Pratt, July 20, 2010 @ 2:22 pm
I’d like to see some ensembles – coordinating (not necessarily matching) mitts/mittens on a string + hats + easy on/off T’s + bloomers or pants + sweaters + jackets. I just love to see coordinating ensembles on kids! Even if it’s just one decorative item on all items – too cute! More knitted toys would be great also.
Oh – and keep up the great work. You guys rock!
Thanks,
Betsy in Mill Creek
By Holly, July 23, 2010 @ 12:05 am
I think everyone has great ideas and love to see patterns for older children and tweenies too, but given the name ‘petite purls’ I always took this to mean the patterns would be for the little ones. I would love to see some bright and funky clothing along with some unisex patterns.
By Annie, July 28, 2010 @ 12:50 pm
I’d like to see more projects that are easy to take on the road for knitting at soccer practice, violin lessons and in waiting rooms. Sometimes those are the only quiet moments that I get in a day!
