And it is a good one!! Just finished copying out FIVE of the designs to make my kids. Whew! It took an hour or so to cut and paste onto document files to print, so i guess the Only suggestion i can think of is maybe consider providing pdfs? But, really, i’m not unhappy to cut&paste, this way i edit as i arrange information, just how i like to read as i knit along, plus i usually only print one photo, not all of them that are available. Thank you for providing adorable kid stuff!!

  • By Jennifer, June 22, 2010 @ 5:03 pm

Love the sweater with the fish in the yoke! I am always looking for more patterns suitable for boys ages 5+…it seems like there are tons of cute patterns for toddler boys out there, but not as many for the 5 and up set. Thanks for your great patterns–love them!!

  • By Jamie, June 22, 2010 @ 7:40 pm

Love Petite Purls! I think you have a great thing going, here! One thing I would like to see is MORE patterns! Also patterns with a larger size range–would be nice to be able to knit for a little and a big kid.

  • By Beth, June 22, 2010 @ 8:06 pm

I always get so excited when a new petite purls is up!
I’d love to see more toys in the next year. Though I love what’s been up so far…

  • By Melody B., June 22, 2010 @ 9:57 pm

I’m not sure of what I’d like to see specifically. I’m pretty much in love with everything you’ve came up with so far. Hummm (and this is really knit picky) maybe you could offer the option of PDF downloads of the patterns. I know this requires server space and bandwidth, so I understand it may not actually be possible right now. Just a suggestion. Either way, thanks so much for all the great work you put in and congrats Year One !

  • By Corinne, June 23, 2010 @ 1:40 am

    I love your patterns!
As always, I’d love to see fun boys patterns as the mum of two boys!
    Cheers

  • By eve, June 23, 2010 @ 4:29 am

I would love to see baby gift ideas/patterns – for those of us who will no longer be expecting but have friends and family who are/will be.

  • By Nancy, June 23, 2010 @ 5:10 am

Just keep doing what you are doing. I love the patterns.

  • By Lisa, June 23, 2010 @ 5:27 am

I agree with the above posters, the issues are fantastic! But having some larger sizes (all our kids will grow!) and pdfs would be wonderful!

  • By Jennifer A., June 23, 2010 @ 5:51 am

Happy 1st birthday! I hope you have many, many more! I love Petite Purls! You have wonderful features and fantastic patterns. I agree with the other comments completely. PDFs would be wonderful to make it easier to print and use the patterns. Also, having a larger size range on more patterns would be great. My kids, much to my disappointment, are growing way too fast! My girls have all gotten to be 12, 9, and 8 and my sons are 5 and 2. Having the pattern in a larger range would allow me to knit your wonderful patterns for a lot longer.

  • By Pat, June 23, 2010 @ 6:27 am

Happy Anniversary! I love Petite Purls and am just hoping to see more of the cute, wearable patterns for our little ones that we have enjoyed already this first year. I’m always on the look out for classic-looking boy patterns that are interesting to knit, and that have a good range of sizes. You guys are wonderful. Thank you!

  • By Misha, June 23, 2010 @ 8:57 am

I LOVE Petite Purls! I love your Basics collection and would like to see more added there – including some more basic sweaters/cardigans. Thank you!

  • By Alyson, June 23, 2010 @ 9:29 am

A larger size range is one thing I would like to see too. And maybe more patterns that can be adapted for those of us who live in warm weather.

  • By Nancy, June 23, 2010 @ 9:34 am

I’d like more cute patterns! keep them coming! :)

  • By Kristyh1981, June 23, 2010 @ 9:36 am

I love the Doll and Childrens patterns and would like to keep seeing more of those!

  • By Dianne, June 23, 2010 @ 9:49 am

I’d like to see more girls cardigans in sizes 3,4,5,6.

  • By Laura, June 23, 2010 @ 9:50 am

it’s a great birthday! my son turned one today! love what you’re doing. would love to see a larger size range. i always struggle finding patterns for the older kids.

  • By LisaB, June 23, 2010 @ 10:01 am

I have just discovered you and I know my needles are going to be busy for months now after discovering your wonderful patterns. Its so refreshing to find funky and fun patterns for boys. As others have mentioned PDF’s would be nice and maybe alternative yarn suggestions. Some of the yarns listed can be very difficult to find so even just listing the weight would be helpful. :o )

  • By Dena Abella, June 23, 2010 @ 10:08 am

I wasn’t aware of your site. I can’t wait to pour a cup of coffee and look over all of your designs. Darling name, by the way.

  • By Tami, June 23, 2010 @ 10:09 am

I saw you mentioned in Ravelry and came over to look! Great site! I have a 7 year old boy and 14 year old daughter, so I’m going to browse the patterns! I’ve bookmarked you!

  • By lisa, June 23, 2010 @ 10:31 am

wow, I’ve just found out about you all and I love your stuff! Keep up the fun for the next year and you should be fantastic :)

  • By Peggy Kraham, June 23, 2010 @ 10:42 am

I just discovered your site thanks to a mention on Ravelry and think your patterns are just beautiful. I have a three year old neice and a one year old nephew who i could see in your designs. Keep up the good work. I do agree with the request for the PDF availability . It would be great

  • By Susie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:43 am

More patterns–love the ones you have!

  • By Susie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:54 am

I read this this post before looking at the new edition – loads of boy pattrens there – thank you!

  • By Mieke, June 23, 2010 @ 11:04 am

I already found a couple of nice patterns in Petite Purls; in the next year I would like to see classic models with a modern twist. Certainly cardigans are always practical.

  • By CJ, June 23, 2010 @ 11:15 am

Love the pink and black socks.

  • By Lydia, June 23, 2010 @ 11:18 am

more “tween” patterns-would also like to see some updated classics-maybe taking pieced garments and making them seamless (top down/bottom down)

  • By Jen, June 23, 2010 @ 11:20 am

I also would love to see more patterns for boys ages 5-11. Thanks for the great website!

  • By Branka, June 23, 2010 @ 11:22 am

Happy Birthday!!! And many more to come…
Thing to consider is PDF download – my whole library is in PDF – not that I like that format so much but it’s the standard…

  • By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 11:24 am

Please see this link for more information about why we can not support PDF formating! http://petitepurls.com/blog/?p=126

  • By Shawlee Manning, Crochet4Life on Ravelry, June 23, 2010 @ 11:30 am

I don’t knit well but I love La Trouvillaise I can see my daughter wearing that. :)

  • By Heidi H., June 23, 2010 @ 11:35 am

I love what you are doing.. fresh, hip, sweet, dreamy.. If I had one wish, I guess it would be for more accessories that my girls starting to go to school would have fun with… bags, cowls, jewlery!

  • By kimberly, June 23, 2010 @ 11:43 am

what a cute site! happy birthday – would love to see more product reviews i the future!

  • By Melanie, June 23, 2010 @ 11:47 am

I agree about PDF patterns, or maybe just have an option to print the pattern with just the main picture similar to what knitty started doing. You’re patterns are all darling!

  • By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 11:56 am

I’m another person who’s just discovered you due to Ravelry. I love what I see so far! I agree a wide range of sizes or a variety of patterns including a range of sizes is good. Kids do grow so fast and it’s good to have options so we can keep knitting for them. Maybe some doll clothes for those who have little girls? I

  • By Amy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:17 pm

I love that you have cute, fun-to-knit patterns for little boys–I would love to see more of them. I agree that it would be great to have more patterns for 5+ boys, too.

  • By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 12:29 pm

When you print a pattern it should only print out the essential photos and it does not print out the website navigation! Also we can not have PDFs which you can read more about here: http://petitepurls.com/blog/?p=126

  • By Amy Jo, June 23, 2010 @ 12:43 pm

I love Petitie Purls and I’ve made a couple of cute sweaters for my niece. She loves animals, so I’d love to see more designs with animals. And animal toys. Thank you!

  • By Deborah Taylor, June 23, 2010 @ 12:54 pm

Your girl’s patterns are great. I’d love to see more patterns for boys; not so much “cute” but things my tween wouldn’t call uncool

  • By sandware, June 23, 2010 @ 12:55 pm

I love the patterns. The only thing I would like to see are more crocheted ones.

  • By Eve Self, June 23, 2010 @ 12:59 pm

I’d love to see more cute toy patterns. And maybe a unisex sailor top. I do love many of the patterns you have so far and hope to see more of the same in future issues!

  • By DAD, June 23, 2010 @ 1:02 pm

Love your patterns — would love to continue to see more seamless knits/neck downs, bottom ups, etc.

    Good luck in Year Two!!!

  • By cecilia, June 23, 2010 @ 1:02 pm

    Happy Birthday, cd

  • By Debbie S, June 23, 2010 @ 1:04 pm

Happy Birthday! I’d love to see the patterns as .pdfs. And matching big/little brother/sister sets would be great – I have 7 kids so there’s always some to match up! :-)

  • By Yakira, June 23, 2010 @ 1:07 pm

Well you folks are certainly on my radar now! I love your designs. I am definitely going to spend more time here looking for adorableness for my children and my nieces and nephews. One year is awesome! Keep up the good work.

  • By Polly, June 23, 2010 @ 1:14 pm

Oooh, I love the patterns, but my girls are growing up and won’t let me dress them in frills anymore. Please more patterns for girls 7-10 (BUT, still nice and proper, like all Petite Purls patterns). Thanks!

  • By Laurie, June 23, 2010 @ 1:16 pm

Love contests. With four boys I always love to see boy patterns.

  • By Kate, June 23, 2010 @ 1:17 pm

Happy Birthday! Congratulations on a wonderful first year! Next year, I would love to see more things for little boys, especially toys. I think you are doing a great job!

  • By Knittingdancer on Ravelry, June 23, 2010 @ 1:21 pm

Happy Birthday. I would love to see the patterns as pdfs. next year. Congratulations on a great first year.

  • By Mary Ellen, June 23, 2010 @ 1:22 pm

Congrats on such a successful and creative year – I wish you many more! I have made several of your patterns for baby gifts. One suggestion would be for more toddler sizes. Keep up the great work :D

  • By gbeans, June 23, 2010 @ 1:24 pm

Happy 1st birthday! I’d love to see an option for patterns to be downloaded/printed as PDFs. I’ve just discovered the site last week, so I’m still exploring it all, but I love what I’ve seen so far.

  • By Shirley, June 23, 2010 @ 1:29 pm

I love all of your patterns and have made several for my grandchildren. I would like to see more sweaters for boy and especially top down ones. Congratulations on your great job.

  • By filambulle, June 23, 2010 @ 1:36 pm

Happy birthday! I love your style and designs. I particularly appreciate the care you take to publish boy’s patterns too. I second Polly in a request for older girl’s patterns. But in any way I will follow you closely.

  • By Silverlotus, June 23, 2010 @ 1:49 pm

I would love to see more patterns for boys, especially into the toddler sizes. More toy patterns would also be lovely.

  • By Carmela, June 23, 2010 @ 1:56 pm

What gorgeous patterns! Would love to see pics of finished products from others that have done the patterns – I know we can look those up on ravelry, but it would be cool to see them on here too.
    Happy Anniversary!!

  • By Shawn, June 23, 2010 @ 2:01 pm

More basic patterns that are intros to specific techniques, like colorwork, would be helpful.

  • By Silka aka Kaleido, June 23, 2010 @ 2:02 pm

Happy Birthday! I was excited when I found this site. Being a designer myself, I love the patterns that Pettit Purls is posting. I would love to see more patterns in each issue… may be considered a separately issue for gifts and accessories for the holiday/winter etc. Congratulation to a wonderful year and I am looking forwards to seeing the site grows.

  • By Amber, June 23, 2010 @ 2:05 pm

Cute site! I, too, was forwarded here from Ravelry. As I don’t have any little ones to knit for, I’ll refer this to friends who do baby projects. Keep up the good work!

  • By jaksmom, June 23, 2010 @ 2:12 pm

I agree! I’d love to see more boy patterns!
    Happy b-day… hope there’s cake!

  • By Angela, June 23, 2010 @ 2:18 pm

Congrats on year one! You have such adorable patterns. I wouldn’t change a thing!

  • By Shrinknits, June 23, 2010 @ 2:18 pm

Hi, by coincidence, I just found your site earlier this week and bookmarked it. I love “Sourpatch” and have two grandaughters to knit for as well as two grandsons. Also love Maggie Bean and I may just nit one for me too!

    Happy birthday!

  • By Shishkani, June 23, 2010 @ 2:19 pm

I’d like to see more patterns for useful things that are kid/baby related. Diaper bags, swaddlers, toys; basically all the stuff that isn’t clothes! Congrats on a great first year!

  • By Margot, June 23, 2010 @ 2:21 pm

I just discovered your site from a post at Rav, so not sure what to suggest. Instead, I’ll go take a peek right now!

    Happy Birthday!

  • By Kristy, June 23, 2010 @ 2:36 pm

I love it just the way it is! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • By Christine, June 23, 2010 @ 2:37 pm

How about complimentary patterns for various ages – eg. cute baby dress mirrored by cute older girl skirt – all with the same design details. This would be great for younger/older siblings, cousins, friends, or even as briding transitional pieces (using the cute skirt under the cute complimentary baby dress as the baby grows older and taller). Keep up the good work!

  • By april, June 23, 2010 @ 2:39 pm

I love your patterns…. More toys please!

  • By april, June 23, 2010 @ 2:47 pm

I would like to see more simple and quick patterns. Sometimes you need to get it done right now!

  • By Donna B., June 23, 2010 @ 2:51 pm

I love the “bigger girl” patterns you have regularly, like Yolanda in this issue. Most of them I want to upsize and make for myself, but I also know my growing girl will love them. I know babies and toddlers are irresistible, but I appreciate Petite Purls for looking after kids all the way into teenagerdom. Happy birthday and congrats on a great zine!

  • By Mel, June 23, 2010 @ 2:58 pm

I would love to see more patterns that use only one skein. I love using luxury fibers for my little one, but I am on a budget!

  • By Brandy, June 23, 2010 @ 3:00 pm

Check out the archives, our first issue has an amazing felted diaper bag!

  • By rachel steinberg, June 23, 2010 @ 3:01 pm

I’d love to see even more boy things, but not using colorwork as the way to make them boyish…

  • By zanna, June 23, 2010 @ 3:12 pm

Happy 1st Birthday! Wishing you lots of more wonderful years of fiber bliss!

  • By Phyllis Ziarko, June 23, 2010 @ 3:18 pm

I, too, loved the fish sweater. This is a great magazine! I would like to see more patterns for school-age boys and girls. I’m a slow knitter and the kids grow-up too fast to fit into the sweater.

  • By vthuskies, June 23, 2010 @ 3:33 pm

Happy Birthday! Keep up the good work. I have a 7 year old girl, so I guess I’d suggest more patterns in that age range. Thanks!

  • By Jennifer, June 23, 2010 @ 3:56 pm

Darling patterns. Two things I would like to see more of are school-age patterns and seamless construction. Other than that, don’t change a thing! Love it :)

  • By Coreena, June 23, 2010 @ 4:30 pm

I would like to see some more stuff for bigger kids, and pdf files would be awes!

    Congrats on turning 1!

  • By Katie, June 23, 2010 @ 4:41 pm

I have a 2 year old son so I guess I would just have to say more boy patterns. Also more for school age boys.

  • By Sarah R, June 23, 2010 @ 4:49 pm

I love the patterns you have, but I would love to see some more small projects…cute hats, booties, toys…as most of the kid knitting now is for coworker’s children. I don’t always want to put in the time and effort for a sweater or blanket but love to knit little things.

  • By Dana, June 23, 2010 @ 4:52 pm

Boys’ patterns that are 1) non-itchy 2) interesting to knit and 3) practical to wear for the hot-blooded elementary school guy would be fabulous. My son has two hand-knit sweaters but won’t wear them because he just runs too hot…

  • By Kirsten, June 23, 2010 @ 4:54 pm

Your patterns are so adorable! I’d love printer-friendly patterns, and more designs for older kids.

  • By katy, June 23, 2010 @ 5:03 pm

More of the same! In a year or two is exactly when I’m hoping to start a family, so just keep up the beautiful work. :)

  • By Emily, June 23, 2010 @ 5:06 pm

I love your site. I love all the things for boys. Sadly, my children scream when I try to put a handknit on them. They’re two and I guess they just don’t like sweaters. So I would like to see a) more quick knits (hats, legwarmers, longies etc) and b)maybe some fab colorwork mittens? Love you!

  • By Judy Workman, June 23, 2010 @ 5:11 pm

I am all about pictures! I come to see finished projects and as much detail as possible. Maybe I am easy to please? I am inspired by other people’s beautiful work.

  • By Melsey, June 23, 2010 @ 5:15 pm

funky designs for my 10 yr old girl (going on 16)! LOL
Happy birthday! love you designs :)

  • By Michelle Dukich, June 23, 2010 @ 5:16 pm

I love your giveaway and am enjoying browsing through your patterns. Congratulations on turning 1 and hopefully many more to years to come. Thank you for the invite to your site.

  • By Kathy, June 23, 2010 @ 5:30 pm

As the grandma of two little girls, I’d love to see more pretty dresses, sweaters, tops, etc… also smaller items that can be made for gifts. Thanks!

  • By Pat, June 23, 2010 @ 5:37 pm

    Love your patterns. More! More!

  • By Pat, June 23, 2010 @ 5:38 pm

    More boy patterns. Sizes 6-14.

  • By Shauna, June 23, 2010 @ 6:22 pm

I would love to see more cute baby patterns as I hope to be pregnant soon and would love to have lots of baby stuff to knit!! :)

  • By Staci, June 23, 2010 @ 6:48 pm

Just seeing this on revelry will make me come to this site and check it up. So my suggestion would be keep up the great P.R.

  • By Rhonda, June 23, 2010 @ 6:53 pm

I’d love lots and lots of baby girl patterns. All of my friends are having girls!!

  • By Lynn, June 23, 2010 @ 7:00 pm

This is my first time to your site. What a fun site you have here. I will definitely be back. Thanks posting about the contest on Ravelry.

    Lynn

  • By KimW, June 23, 2010 @ 7:17 pm

Sadly for me my “babies” are not so petite any more, but I love knitting baby gifts for their teachers, and for friends and family. My favorite gifts are tiny sweaters and, if time allows, baby blankets, so I am always looking for new patterns for those. Toy patterns are fun too.

  • By Trish, June 23, 2010 @ 7:51 pm

I think the patterns are lovely, especially the ones for the girls. I’d like to see more simple sweaters that are, at the same time, classy. I hesitate to make complicated sweaters for someone who is growing so fast, he or she will only wear it once or twice.

  • By fireant, June 23, 2010 @ 7:54 pm

    Happy Blogversary!
I love your blog and think it’s pretty awesome as is-cept I would love the patterns to be in pdf format.

    Thanks

  • By Theresa, June 23, 2010 @ 8:16 pm

I would love more baby patterns and also patterns available as pdfs.

  • By Flo, June 23, 2010 @ 8:20 pm

Happy Birthday! I think if you continue churning out the great patterns and beautiful, inspiring images, I would be quite content! If there is one thing I’d be interested in seeing, it would be yarn reviews. I would love to get the low-down on attractive yarn that someone has tested first-hand on children. Maybe rating those yarns for their ease of care, endurance, comfort, and overall value. I sometimes wonder if the items I make for family and friends don’t end up getting used because they are just too bulky or inconvenient to care for.

  • By Heathar, June 23, 2010 @ 8:39 pm

I just found your site through Ravelry, and I’m thrilled! I love what I’ve seen & can’t wait to go through the archives.

  • By Patty, June 23, 2010 @ 8:40 pm

I am loving this site! What wonderful patterns. Now, I don’t have little ones yet, but I’m getting to that point. :) Some of my friends are due in the next few months, so they may profit from your awesome site!
    Thanks!

  • By Abril, June 23, 2010 @ 9:00 pm

I just recently found you and I’m already in love with you guys. I live in MN and woudl love to see more warm hats that stay on and look cute.

  • By faith, June 23, 2010 @ 9:18 pm

Congrats on 1 year! I would like to see more patterns for boys & more toys.

  • By sarah lewis, June 23, 2010 @ 9:34 pm

just discovered your nice site! I especially like the toy patterns and perhaps you could include more of them, maybe something like a knitted doll?

  • By bonnie, June 23, 2010 @ 10:06 pm

I have just discovered your site and I now know some expecting and new mothers so I am activly looking for practical and quick patterns. Looking through your patterns is amazing. Just keep on doing what you are obviously good at. Thank you for all your work.

I’d love to see more big boy patterns (9-12yrs) Love your site!

  • By Lisa, June 23, 2010 @ 11:26 pm

What great prizes! I live in Arizona, so I’d like to see some warm-weather kind of projects and since I also end up knitting a lot of baby gifts, I’m always game for unique, but relatively quick projects. And, really anything for 2 year old girls since that’s what I have LOL!

  • By illie, June 23, 2010 @ 11:41 pm

I’d love to see more toys like Jacques Crusteau and the adorable sheep. Other than that, keep doing what you’ve been doing, and happy birthday!

  • By Dava, June 23, 2010 @ 11:48 pm

First time visiting your site but I saw the pattern for Posy and Spring on Ravelry and saved it. It’s sooo cute! Love the Heart shrug too! Definitely bookmarking your site.

I think I’d like to see more toddler dresses and romper type outfits. :)

  • By Allegra, June 24, 2010 @ 12:01 am

wonderful idea, and definitely something we’ve been discussing!

  • By Marsha, June 24, 2010 @ 1:51 am

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It’s always nice to see a creative blog stay online and not get neglected.
    Wonderful patterns and inspiration.
Patterns too cute and stylish for words.
Pdf’s would be nice but cut and paste is fine too. Just don’t stop the creativity from flowing. :-)

  • By KJ Gallagher, June 24, 2010 @ 2:09 am

Keep up the terrific work! Happy Birthday!

  • By Pam Hunt, June 24, 2010 @ 3:38 am

As a knitting Nana, this is the first site I check when I want to make something for my grandchildren or co-workers’ new babies! The patterns are so current and cute! I would love to see a few more dresses and skirts for little girls (4-8) and perhaps a nice Christening ensemble or two. Thanks for your wonderful site. Here’s wishing you many years of success!

  • By Lyndsey, June 24, 2010 @ 5:24 am

Great site! I love seeing boy patterns. I always like to see bigger boy patterns- my oldest is nearly 8 and it’s nice to knit for him. He loves getting sweaters made by me!

  • By Kathy, June 24, 2010 @ 5:27 am

I love this blog/website. Maybe some more instructional tips? I always love seeing how people do things, so maybe just a tip or two here and there that make something easier. For instance, how about pairings, like if you use this cast on/then this bind off works best. Or why you chose a certain cast on or bind off for a particular project.

love your mag–each issue gets better! I enjoy the combination of classic child & imaginative in your patterns. I also like seamless patterns–would like to see plenty of them. Also, smaller projects for gifts are welcome.

  • By Brandy, June 24, 2010 @ 6:31 am

Sere this article: http://petitepurls.com/blog/?p=126 for why we can’t have PDF downloads! Thanks!

  • By MAP, June 24, 2010 @ 6:42 am

More patterns — the ones you have are always so sweet and well-written. Congrats on the first year, and best wishes for many more.

  • By Alexis, June 24, 2010 @ 6:52 am

Keep those toys coming – I have two kids in the right size for your magazine, and it makes me sad to know that there are already patterns they’re too big for (without modifying at least)…

  • By Laura, June 24, 2010 @ 7:34 am

I love, love, love petite purls! My suggestions for the next year are 1) keep coming up with patterns for kiddos of all ages…from the very smallest to the very tallest! 2) more patterns for knit toys 3) more patterns for boys 4) great ideas for how to use up your yarn odds and ends.

  • By Bev, June 24, 2010 @ 7:37 am

I love looking at all the lovely patterns. It would be fun to see a few of them also converted to crochet.

  • By Mandie, June 24, 2010 @ 7:51 am

  • By Kim, June 24, 2010 @ 9:09 am

  • By Jessica A, June 24, 2010 @ 9:16 am

Happy Birthday!!! Love, love, love Petite Purls!
I love every issue, and always find such cute patterns for all my kiddos. I would love to see some more toys (the dolls in the last issue were so cute!) The organic focused issue was wonderful as well. Maybe some charity-focused knitting? And I’d love a dress for an older girl (5-6), and a Princess-themed shrug!
Can’t wait to see what you gals come up with next!
    ~Jessica

  • By Rita, June 24, 2010 @ 10:57 am

I’d love to see some lacey baby items or lacy little girls sweaters. The patterns so far have been great too.

  • By Concetta, June 24, 2010 @ 10:59 am

I absolutely love Petite Purls! I would love to see more of the adorable boys patterns that I’ve come to expect from the magazine, and that’s about all I can think of. Maybe some additional toddler sizes? And I love that you feature one toy/household item each issue. My favorite toy/household pattern was the Foamies, but I think my newest favorite is the adorable teething toy!

Its really, really great to see a magazine that doesn’t just focus on little girls. Boys deserve nice clothes too! :-)

I have really enjoyed Petite Purls – well done in your first year! As for the upcoming year….more of the same. I always like new patterns, especially for my own two boys. The articles, reviews etc. are great. As a busy mom – ideas and patterns for small quick projects are always appreciated. Again – well done!

  • By Cookie, June 26, 2010 @ 5:39 am

Congratulations on your success! The patterns are so elegant and timeless – more, please. Some versatile patterns for older kids would be quite useful, and the fish patterns are wonderfully colorful and happy , but not juvenile. Thank you for the ideas. : )

  • By TiinaV, June 26, 2010 @ 6:33 am

Happy birthday! I’d like to see more patterns for boys, sometihing retro and something related with tractors and cars.

  • By cathcart, June 26, 2010 @ 9:36 am

Congratulations on 1 year!!!! I love Petite Purls, and what a wonderful giveaway! :) I think I echo the sentiment that if it is possible, the ability to download the patterns as pdf’s would be fantastic. Either way, I love your site and can’t wait to see what you have in store for the next year. :)

  • By Lolita Blahnik, June 26, 2010 @ 12:22 pm

  • By Samantha, June 27, 2010 @ 5:57 pm

Congratulations on Year One!! My suggestion for year two is to continue the great work as we can never have too many new and innovative patterns to ’spoil’ our little ones with. Thank you for all your good work :)

  • By Judi A., June 27, 2010 @ 9:32 pm

I’m usually happy with your blog, patterns, etc. but would have to agree with some of the others that patterns in pdf would be nice. Congrats on a great first year! :-)

  • By Jennifer Farrugia, June 27, 2010 @ 9:50 pm

Your patterns are all super cute! Maybe more items for boys (clothing and knitted toys). I LOVE knitting for my girls, but I always wish there were more cute things to choose from for my 4 yr old son.

  • By stephanie gordon, June 28, 2010 @ 8:03 am

I love everything, but mostly would love to see more toddler to bigger kid easy knits – seamless, easy, using worsted weight or larger yarn clothing that one isn’t afraid to let her kiddo wear. I also would like to see more easy knits for gifts – eg. the new felted teether item is great! Also the PDF file option would be nice. Thank you for such a great magazine and for linking everything over in Ravelry!!! Congrats on your anniversary!!! Stephanie Ravelry: indigodogmt

  • By Sandee, June 28, 2010 @ 10:28 am

I just discovered your site and it is wonderful! What I would love to see are (even) more cute patterns for babies and toddlers. Patterns that are easy and made from low maintenance yarns. I am going to be a grandmother in November, so plan on lots of knitting for little one.

  • By Shannon, June 28, 2010 @ 10:55 am

    More crochet patterns please!

  • By Amy, June 28, 2010 @ 11:49 am

I have really loved quite a few of your patterns. What I’d like to see this year is a few more patterns aimed at bigger kids and some patterns with many size ranges so big and little siblings can wear the same thing. Keep up the good work!

  • By DJ Langer, June 28, 2010 @ 3:06 pm

Just found your site….it’s wonderful. Can’t wait to knit something…would love the Cornelias Duo in sizes for bigger girls. Grandaughter just had her 12th birthday and I know she would love it in her size. Thanks for sharing such nice pattern

  • By Rae Weese, June 28, 2010 @ 5:51 pm

As a mother of two grown boys and grandmother of one three year old boy, AND a crocheter, not a knitter, I would love to see boys crochet patterns that aren’t too cutesy.

    Love the e-mag!

  • By Sharon G., June 28, 2010 @ 6:20 pm

I LOVE all of your patterns!!! In the next year, I’d say keep the boy patterns coming…I have a girl, but a bunch of friends with boys, and cute boy patterns are hard to come by!! I would also love to see the patterns offered as PDFs. That would make printing much easier. Other than that, keep up the GREAT work!!!

    Cheers!
    Sharon (Heffalump23 on Rav)

  • By julie k, June 28, 2010 @ 6:49 pm

All of your patterns are so cute. Just keep doing what you already are! PDF versions would be nice. Congrats on one year!

  • By Laurie Metzger, June 29, 2010 @ 8:53 am

Your patterns are always great! I agree PDF’s would be nice to have. Would love to see baby gift set of a sweater and a toy that would go together. That would be really cute. Larger sizes would be great…my neices and nephews are getting older 4,5,6……. Thanks for all of your hard work!

  • By Brenda Evans, June 29, 2010 @ 9:13 am

You’ve got a fabulous site already, but I’d really like to see your patterns in .pdf form – so much easier to keep organized for me. Thanks and congratulations on your anniversary!

  • By shorty, June 29, 2010 @ 10:28 am

wow! you are giving away so much! thanks for the chance to win. my only recommendation is to have some ‘how to’ videos. i’m a new knitter, actually just learning, so more resources from a super cool and savvy site would be awesome.

  • By Jen, June 29, 2010 @ 1:54 pm

You guys do such a great job offering a variety of wonderful patterns! Would love to see some “matching” sibling outfits.

happy birthday! love what you have done so far. maybe more BOYISH patterns?

  • By Glyn, June 29, 2010 @ 6:06 pm

I would love to see more patterns for boys, especially elementary-school age (6-8?), including sweaters and tanks. Vests are good, too, but I’ve been trying to find a summer tank-like pattern and can’t find one anywhere. Love all that you have available so far!

  • By Paige, June 29, 2010 @ 6:37 pm

I’ve admired your aesthetic from the beginning. It’s so nice to see a magazine with this kind of polish. And I think I’m going to make those sk8r socks, I think my daughter would really love them. I think that for the future I’d really like to see toys, I make them all the time for my kiddo (no worries about her growing out of a sized garment) and I’d also like to see mother daughter sets – like a hat/mitten set for both. And accessories of all kinds for kids. Little purses, wristers, etc. Thanks – and Happy Birthday!

  • By Katja, June 29, 2010 @ 6:49 pm

I LOVE your patterns and am so inspired when I come peek at the new ones. I would love patterns for larger boys and also knitted garments children can wear as “first” layers for milder climates…I knit A lot for my children and the things that aren’t super warm seem to get more wear and love!!

    Thanks!

  • By Sherilyn, June 30, 2010 @ 8:05 am

I have a toddler girl, and I love the patterns so far, but I would like some more patterns for school-aged children, as she will be in larger sizes before I know it. I also think pdf’s would be a great addition.

  • By Kiera, June 30, 2010 @ 10:47 am

  • By Kellie, July 1, 2010 @ 6:58 am

Happy, Happy Birthday! I too concur that I wish there were more patterns for tweens and teens (both boy and girl). Also offering classic patterns with modern twists and heirloom patterns would be great. Accessories would be fun too (hats, headbands, purses, belts, socks, etc.
