Help for Haiti

We’re a little late to the party, but we wanted to do our share in helping however we can with the disaster-struck Haiti. It has been amazing to see the crafting world come together to offer everything and anything they can to help. We thought we would share some of those links, if you still haven’t decided how to offer your financial help.

*As always, the Yarn Harlot has been amazing. You can see her original “Knit Signal” post here. You can read all about her group Knitters Without Borders/Tricoteuses sans Frontieres here. I cannot keep up with all of her updates, but I know that there has been a staggering amount of support from fellow knitters.

*There is a website called Craft Hope. They have opened their Etsy doors to help the people of Haiti by selling handmade products donated by crafters. 100% of the proceeds will go toward Doctors without Borders.

*Ravelry is doing their part as well. Many designers (including many Petite Purls designers) are donating a percentage of their proceeds from patterns sold on Ravelry to help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Here is a list of patterns. Something very cool that the brilliant minds behind Ravelry have come up with is a filter function that will show you all of the patterns in your queue that are involved in the Help for Haiti fund.

Please, if you haven’t done your part already in helping the people of Haiti, now is the time.
