For this All Things Petite post we are focusing on some new patterns and other cool things we’re seeing from Petite Purls’ contributors.
*Jennifer Casa (JCHandmade) shared this sweet sewing tutorial on Sew Mama Sew. A perfect handmade Valentine’s Day gift for someone you love.
*Kate Oates (TotToppers) is one of the most prolific designers we know! And we are happy to know her! Last week she had not just one but two designs come out: Jesse Polo Sweater and her newest hat design: To Haiti with Love. All proceeds from this hat will go towards the relief efforts for Haiti earthquake victims. As well as these two recent patterns, Kate has started a new pattern line, When I Grow Up. Now those of us that aren’t tots can enjoy some of her wonderful designs! Her Dindy Beret is adorable!
* Jennifer Ackerman Haywood, as we all know (or should know!) hosts the great podcast, CraftSanity. If you haven’t checked it out already, give it a listen. She also makes lovely wooden peg looms. I recently bought a small one to use with my 2 year old daughter, and I love it.
*Susan B. Anderson has two very cute patterns that were recently released. Hop, is such a cute, yet sophisticated bunny, and my personal favorite (so very adorable!), the Heart Tape Measure! So sweet and it’s another great handmade gift for Valentine’s Day. Who wouldn’t want a tape measure cozy?
*We all love Kirsten’s Pembroke Vest from our premiere issue. Now you can enjoy her newest vest pattern, Wood Hollow Vest. It is fabulous, and it uses the same beautiful cable pattern that can be found in her Wood Hollow Hat and Mittens set.
*Last, but definitely not least, our own Brandy (PixiePurls) has recently released one of the cutest hat patterns ever, Serendipity. She creates adorable patterns and she creates adorable babies! Look at that little girl! Such a sweet thing!
