Kick It Up

Easy
By Daniela Nii

I just swear by vests for my two active boys. It is the perfect layering solution for those early fall or summer days when the days start out a bit fresh but will warm up later. A vest makes them look put together for school and won’t be too bulky to stash in their backpacks. It knits up quickly and can add a splash of color or fun design to their wardrobe.

Soccer is so big in our family, a soccer themed vest just had to be made. The vest sports an easy knit/purl diamond pattern representing the soccer goal netting and black/white ribbing from the traditional referee shirts. Add a small soccer ball emblem and you will have a classic looking vest for your kids.
