Finishing

Seam the back edge of the body from the top of the head down to the marked row at the top of the legs, leaving a gap in the seam for turning and stuffing. Seam row edges of legs. Oversew across cast on sts with leg seam to inside of leg (see diagram). Turn right side out and stuff firmly. Use a length of peach yarn to sew running sts around the base of the head.  Pull these sts up a little to shape the neck further.

Detail

Face
The nose is worked at the center marked stitch. Use peach to work 5-6 stitches, one on top of the other, over the stitch at the marked stitch.
The eyes are worked in black yarn on the row above the nose. Mark the base point for each eye 4 sts on each side of the nose. Bring the yarn out at this point.  Work a straight stitch upwards over 2 knitted rows. Repeat twice. Fasten off yarn.
For the mouth, use dark pink yarn to make a small 'v' shape 4 rows under the nose.
Seam row ends of arms. Stuff arms. Position arms on the side of the body and sew in place.
Place collar around neck and seam the row ends together.
Place boot tops around top row of dark pink on each leg. Seam row edges and sew boot tops in place.
Place belt around body, seam row ends and sew in position. Use a length of yellow yarn to work a square over the centre of the belt for a buckle.

Hair
Cut about 70 lengths of yellow yarn, approx 12 inches long.  Sew the center of the lengths of yarn down along the center of the head.  Pull into bunches at each side of the head and tie with small lengths of yellow yarn. Sew through the bunches to hold in place at the sides of the head. Trim bunches to desired length.
