While awaiting the arrival of my brother and sister-in-law's first baby, this cute little cardigan was conceived! I began knitting to pass the time and soon my sweet niece, Belle, was born.

She was named after her father and my brother, Beau. Belle is a beautiful little girl with a sunny personality and loves playing in her Nana and Papa's garden.

What perfect names for these cute little cardigans born while waiting!

Sleeves are worked in the round, from the underarm down. Flower and tree pieces are all knit and sewn onto the front of the cardigan while finishing. The tree trunk, branches and flower stems are worked in chain stitch. Cardigan includes 4 inches of positive ease, for Beau, and 4-6 inches of positive ease for Belle.
